<div>After my son Alex’s successful surgery for his glioblastoma, he was able to enjoy life normally again for over a year and even got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Christina. However within the last few months, he quickly developed new complications and was discovered to have an aggressive secondary tumor impacting another part of his brain. This other tumor is causing paralysis on one side of his body and affecting his cognitive abilities. We are all doing what we can to be there for him, including researching alternative medicine and treatments that are being done in other places. His current doctors and surgeons have unfortunately stated that nothing more can be done for him here in Arizona. So, with help from this new fundraiser, our goal is to get him to a clinical trial at UCLA that is supposed to be able to treat the type of brain tumor he has and greatly prolong his life. We already have living arrangements for him in LA, but he will still need some help with travel and treatment costs. Thats why we are once again reaching out on Gofundme for any financial help that can be given, any amount helps!

Help Alex Access a Life-Saving Clinical Trial

<div>About a month ago around the same time as the sudden loss of one of his friends, Alex suddenly began losing feeling in his right leg. After some trips to the doctors in May he received his diagnosis and was rushed back to the hospital for brain surgery. After waiting a few days he had his operation and is currently healing in the ICU, the surgeon had to remove a malignant tumor about the size of a walnut. He will need to undergo more treatment to make sure the tumor does not return, but the surgery went well as far as we know. We will post updates as they come in but there are still tests to be done and Alex is in a lot of pain at the moment. We made this gofundme so his friends and family can give him our support while he is recovering.

She always put others first with her caring and tender heart. Her smile and presence powerful. Gianna won an award for the most outstanding female student in her elementary school last year. She played soccer, ran cross country and excelled in nearly everything she tried. Her parents Kevin and Alison and little sister Francesca are left with an unimaginable loss.

<div>Charlene was shot in the abdomen. They reinflated her collapsed left lung and sent her to surgery. She’s packed with military gauze for now and stable, but they identified 13 holes so far from one or more bullets. She is recovering from the first of several surgeries and has a long recovery ahead. Mark was able to visit her Sunday night.

<div>James was shot in the shoulder and is expected to recover. He will undergo shoulder surgery at midnight Sunday. His partner was shot in the leg and is also expected to fully recover. James and his partner met at Club Q and always considered it a safe space.

<div>Charlene loves hiking in the mountains with her dog. Her brother James wanted to cheer her up after a recent breakup and on the one-year anniversary of their mother's death from Covid. They went out for a fun night of dancing at Club Q. They were preparing to leave when shots were fired.

<p>40,000 people, many of them from communities of color, are in jail for non-violent cannabis offenses. This is unacceptable. Last Prisoner Project Info: Imagine sitting in a cell for years, decades, or even for life, convicted of an activity that is no longer a crime, while thousands of other people build intergenerational wealth doing exactly the same thing. The Last Prisoner Project is a coalition of cannabis industry leaders, executives, and artists dedicated to bringing restorative justice to the cannabis industry. When diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma, <br />Stage 3 in his stomach and 3 lymph nodes, his doctor in Wichita, Ks recommended he consult with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota.  <br />Max and his wife Missy have made several trips developing a treatment plan to save his life.  Max has completed 8 sets of Chemotherapy with positive results. Although, the chemo treatments have been very effective, his Oncology Team at The Mayo Clinic are 100% in agreement for Max to have a total Gastrectomy Surgery (complete removal of the stomach) to make sure all the cancer has been removed and insure the most successful outcome for the future. <br /><br />Max's insurance has refused to pay for any procedures performed at the Mayo Clinic.  Max's medical bills at Mayo have exceeded over $70,000.  The <br />"best survival" treatment plan for this stage of stomach cancer at The Mayo Clinic requires Max to have total gastrectomy surgery within 4 to 6 weeks of his last chemo treatment, which is scheduled for late May. The surgery will easily double the balance due, hence the reason for this Go Fund Me Page. <br /><br />We understand living in this time of Covid-19 has had a major financial impact on our lives.  Any donation to Moving Mountains for Max will be greatly appreciated!
