In late 1958, a friend helped me when I truly needed it by lending me money. I promised that one day, when I was able, I would repay that kindness with interest. Over time, life carried us in different directions. My friend eventually moved to Australia, no usable address and after many decades I have no way to repay him directly. What I can do is honor the spirit of that promise. This fundraiser is my way of turning a long-standing debt of gratitude into something good by supporting the World Central Kitchen.inc. helping people who need food today. The goal of $2,500 is symbolic — simply a meaningful way to bring closure to a promise that has stayed with me for a lifetime. All funds will go directly to the World Central Kitchen.inc There is no expectation to give.
