<div>Our dear friend, Mauricio’s Family , has been given a deportation order from Canada to return to Brazil on Tomorrow (September 11,2021- 13:00 pm and we urgently need your help to prevent all family (3 Kids - Nathan  14 y, Sophia 8 y and  David 4 y , Wife Daiane) from being sent into a country in which his will face imminent danger about Brazilian mafia.

<div>Mauricio  forced to flee Brazil because of a risk to his life, stemming from an abusive forced officers during which his was subject to severe physical and emotional violence, as well as forcible separation from her young daughter.  This profile put Mauricio’s family  at an increased risk of persecution by the mafia , and his was thus forced to flee the country.

<div>Since escaping to Canada, Mauricio’s Wife  (Daiane) has continued her activism with respect and has also volunteered for various organizations throughout Ontario. Throughout the community, Daiane  is known for her kindness, her understanding and for giving even when she has nothing to give. During the pandemic, she has been doing drop offs and grocery shopping for people who could not leave their homes and helping people to find the resources that they need.

<div>Mauricio 's initial H. Compassion  claim and appeals were rejected, and most recently, the Canadian government refused his Pre-Removal Risk Assessment and determined that it is 'safe' for Mauricio’s Family to return to Brazil.  He is challenging this decision in the Federal Court, and his believes there is a strong chance of success given several critical mistakes in the decision.

<div>In the meantime, CBSA has issued a deportation order and Mauricio’s Family  was told to purchase a direct flight to Brazil, departing on September  11, 2021. This is despite the Canadian government's own travel advisory which  states: avoid all travel to Brazil due to the risk of life . In the midst of a global pandemic, the Canadian government has also issued a travel ban due to COVID to any country including Brazil. For these reasons, in addition to the stated personal circumstances which Mauricio  has bravely disclosed, a growing community of supporters are calling for the immediate reversal of the deportation order and believe this is a human rights issue that must be addressed by our immigration leadership.

"Sometimes, Real Superheroes Live in the Hearts of Small Children Fighting Big Battles".<br /><br />My name is Stephanie Soares, I am from Toronto, ON and my family and I are good friends with Tricia and David Pedro. We met at Sick Kids Hospital while both of our daughters were in the CCCU having heart surgery. <br /><br />Tricia and David Pedro welcomed their first born child Zoe to this world on February 21st, 2016. She was their pride and joy from the minute they laid eyes on her. Zoe was born with complex cardiac issues. She spent much of her life at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Zoe had multiple surgeries and dealt with many complications along the way that would test the doctors and surgeons abilities and patience. Tricia and David were told not once, not twice, but no less than 7 times throughout her life that she would likely not make it; but Zoe defied all odds and fought like the Little Warrior she was. Her smile lit up any room and her character and personality stole the hearts of families, friends, hospital staff, and all who met her and shared her journey.<br /><br />On Friday June 30th, 2017, Zoe passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at Sick Kids Hospital. The Sick Kids Staff tried everything they could to save Zoe's life, but sadly, it was too late. Her parents, family and friends were absolutely shocked and devastated. Just when everyone thought Zoe had beaten the odds, God had another plan for her and called her home.<br /><br />We are starting this page to help not only with the cost of the funeral but to help alleviate some of the debt this family has accumulated after spending almost a year in hospital. Tricia and David never left Zoe's side through it all, which meant that they were unable to work. They never knew if and when Zoe's time on earth would end. <div>On August 31st, I will celebrate my 9th birthday — and what a journey it has been so far!

<div>My story began with many challenges. I was born with a rare heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. Because of this, I spent my entire first year at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where I had to undergo four surgeries before I even turned one.

</div>
<div>On May 25th, 2017, my heart stopped. I went 36 minutes without oxygen to my brain, which left me with lasting effects — but I came back. I survived.
</div>
<div>And ever since, my life has entered a new chapter — filled with obstacles, but also with hope.
