<div><strong>UPDATE</strong>: Hi all, Morgan here coming to you from Germany with an update on Phills battle with cancer. I am happy to announce that I have wonderful news!

<div>Here is the quick overview:
</div>
<div>We met with Professor Baum on Monday to review the results of the FAPi PET scans and he is quite confident that Phills cancer will respond substantially to the treatment.
</div>
<div>Phill did his first round of treatment in which they gave him a double dose of the radioactive isotope (Litetium-117) due to how far his cancer had already progressed.
</div>
<div>Phill had no serious reactions to the IV Radiation treatment (even though they doubled the dose) and is resting now back at the hotel, but this ended up almost doubling the cost of the treatment.
</div>
<div>Professor Baum reviewed his case with us during the discharge consultation, and he was very optimistic because all tests indicate the Phills organs are all still functioning properly, and it appears that the treatment is being absorbed by the tumors which is required for success of the treatment. 
</div>
<div>His next treatment is scheduled for early October when they will do another FAPi PET so they can analyze the results of the first treatment.  Assuming that the treatments is as effective as they expect it to be he will do his second round of treatment that same week in early October.
</div>
<div>At this point we are cautiously optimistic that this treatment could put the cancer into remission!

<div>Phill has been in correspondence with the doctors in Germany and has his first appointment scheduled for August 24th. After talking with the doctors he learned that he is going to have to repeat this treatment 4 separate times every 6-8 weeks. That is why we have increased our goal to 150k, since each trip he will make to get treatment will cost a minimum 25k in fees just for the treatments alone. We would also like to thank each and every person that has shared, contributed and sent kind messages. We are absolutely blown away at all of your generosity. Thank you again! <div>Our journey this past year has been a time of heartache, waiting and hoping for a miracle. Our story is about Phill Hirschenberger who is an incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Phill lives in Missoula, MT with his family and has spent much of his career self-employed operating his company PH Engineering. He is the husband of Daridee (Moodry) Hirschenberger of Anaconda and father of 3 beautiful children; Beau 4, Holland 7 and Taylor 19.

<div>At age 44, Phill and our family’s world was shaken by the devastating news that a tumor we understood to be benign, and could be surgically removed, turned out to be a rare type of pancreatic cancer. Phill was diagnosed in April 2025 with pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma, which is not only a rare type of pancreatic cancer but also has minimal historical data for treatment in the medical world. After learning about this diagnosis, we’ve all been optimistic in finding a successful treatment. However, in the U.S. there are not a lot of options remaining that are anticipated to provide effective treatment for this type of cancer.

<div>Phill's stubbornness, strong will to live, and love for his family keeps him fighting. Phill has been through an incredibly heart wrenching journey of fighting every day to keep going. He has gone to the best Cancer treatment centers in the United States. His journey started out at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, then MD Anderson Cancer Center of Texas, being treated with high doses of chemotherapy, while also seeking some alternative therapy with Natural Health and Wellness in Missoula. Phill has received a great deal of help and support from his family and friends during this very challenging process. They’ve sent him lots of prayers, clinical referrals, and treatment suggestions, all of which he’s followed up with (Cleveland Clinic, Dartmouth Cancer Center, NCI and NIA to mention a few) and most recently Mayo Clinic of Rochester, MN. Phill had heard about a surgeon at the Mayo Clinic who performs surgeries on tumors that have impeded on nearby blood vessels; we thought this was our miracle. Unfortunately, we were too late for this surgery to happen. He spent over a week at the clinic getting even more scans, gene testing, procedures and surgery to place a stent over major blood vessels to help get blood flow to his organs and alleviate pain. The tumor has caused several kinks and blockages in and around the area of the tumor. He’s had in depth screening and biopsies to determine the specific gene mutation responsible for the tumor, in which case there may be a treatment that could target the mutation identified.

<div>Recently, Phill received news that he qualified to receive a new treatment from a Doctor in Germany. A family friend from Anaconda informed Phill he had been helped by this certain Doctor in Germany. He told Phill that this treatment had stopped the growth of all his tumors. It is a different approach that is not available in the U.S., so here we are!

<div>The issue is it’s NOT covered by insurance, and the cost is on the upwards side of $50k. He’s asking for any help to cover this cost to receive this treatment and travel expenses. He is not someone to share his health details, or ask for help, but at this time we feel it’s our only hope for him. If you can help contribute it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Every cent will make a difference.

<div>We are praying to the good Lord above for this miracle to happen and for Phill to be here to watch his children grow. His family needs him, his children need their daddy, and we are in desperate need of any help that you can give. Truly, there are no words to express the heartache of this trial, but we have had many incredible family and friends carry us through. Help Phill Reach Life-Saving Cancer Treatment Abroad!!

<div>My childhood best friend of 29 years, basically my sister - has lost her home last night to the Airport Fire at the top of the Ortega Highway in Lake Elsinore, California. Kelcy, her 4 children, husband, and animals were all able to make it out safely without harm.

<div>They were able to pack up what they could, but unfortunately have very little and will need to start rebuilding their lives and home from the ground up when the time comes and allows. They have 3 days' worth of clothes for each of them, as many of you know - is not much at all.
</div>

<div>If you know Kelcy, you know her heart is something rare, and comes in the purest of forms. I've known Kelcy since we were four years old, and Garrett for about 10 years since he came into Kelcy's life. My love for both of them and their babies runs deep, and the news of their loss has my heart sunk.

<div>The strength and resilience Kelcy and Garrett have, is something that I have always been in awe of, and I know they will get through this tragedy with those very characteristics.

<div>My hope is to make the burden a little lighter, and to help with getting them back on their feet into a better situation to get them a more permanent living situation for their babies and animals.

<div>This past year, with no family in CA, they bravely faced a rollercoaster from the joy of a <strong>miracle pregnancy</strong> to a <strong>devastating thyroid cancer diagnosis</strong>, treatment + surgery, and most recently a debilitating <strong>stroke</strong> leaving August unable to walk and <strong>missing the birth</strong> of his beautiful daughter, Lyric.

<div>We have now learned <strong>the stroke may be brain cancer due to metastasised thyroid cancer</strong>, which also requires further surgery and treatment.

Please Help Father’s Cancer and Newborn

<div>It is with sad minds and heavy hearts that we grieve the loss of Michael L. Williams. As most of you may be aware, on February 20th 2023, surrounded by family and music Michael lost his battle with cancer. Michael was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in early 2020, shortly after he and Amelia excitedly discovered they would be starting a family. Together, and with a lot of help, they fought this unfair battle maneuvering through countless doctors appointments, medical bills, the health care system, juggling jobs and raising a tiny human.

<div>Michael was a strong, caring and patient man. He was excited to be a dad and he looked forward to taking Jessi to ballet or coaching her future basketball team. No matter how difficult and painful his journey became over the last few years Michael fought hard to be the light for his daughter, Jessi. He loved her so very much. 
</div>
<div>We are asking that as friends and family of Michael and Amelia we come together as a community and help Amelia and Jessi in any way that you can as they navigate their way through this difficult time. Any donation will help lesson the financial burden of the unknown road ahead. We greatly appreciate any form of help even if it’s just sharing and reposting Micheal’s story.

The loss of Michael L. Williams

Due to a high speed hit and run collision, our dear family member, Harutiun Moukouian was taken from us. Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department are still trying to find the perpetrator. <br /><br />Harutiun was only 58 years old, he was on his way to work where he was the founder of Vintage Motor Works LA where he and his son were business partners. In  Memory of Harutiun Moukouian

Shiloh's Story(from Shiloh's dad, Geoff, written on his Caring Bridge Site): "At the beginning of August, I brought Shiloh to the ER at Children’s Hospital with the suspicion he might have a hernia. After seeing several nurses and residents, we saw the attending. He brought some relief when he said it didn’t seem to be a hernia, but rather severely swollen lymph nodes. His suspicion was cat scratch disease, and he ordered a series of labs to determine. Shiloh took the IV like a champ, and we played the waiting game for results. However, when a team of five doctors came in the room about an hour and a half later, it was pretty apparent that we weren’t just going home with a prescription. They said in the labs that his blood counts were off, and that they found blasts in his blood. "What does that mean?” I asked. His answer, “It means your son has cancer—leukemia.”<br /><br />As you can imagine, the Sciaccas are on a journey that comes with many unknowns and many trips in and out of Children's Hospital.  While they are spending every moment praying and taking care of sweet Shiloh, we can be the hands and feet of Jesus and help with the financial burden of it all.  If you feel led, please know that this will help in more ways than anyone could realize.  While praying for complete healing for Shiloh, let's also  help take other burdens off of the Sciaccas.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.  I can't wait to see God show the Sciaccas this love from you all.<br /><br />We already reached our first goal!!! Praise the Lord!  Because medical costs are beyond what we can comprehend, we will continue to raise the goal and watch the Lord provide.

Shiloh Sciacca's Journey

<br />Update: I took Daniel's parents to the Westminster Memorial Park Cemetery and the costs for the burial and service  will cost them $20,000. I didn't realize how much it would cost when I created this for them. I have increase the amount and hope you can pass this on. THANK YOU!!!<br /><br />Daniel...a good son, nephew, and friend, with so much to give. He passed away on 02/02/2016 at the age of 23. I am helping his parents raise money for his funeral expenses...big or small.<br /><br />Daniel recently graduated from CSULB and loves outdoor activities and was an avid hiker. On February 2nd, he went hiking but never made it home. His father was informed that Daniel fell off a 2000 ft cliff and they were searching for his body. Later that evening, they were able to locate his body and pending to be recovered in the morning. The investigator let his father know he died a hero....pulling a friend who was slipping and thus he plunged to his death. What a tragic loss of a great young man who was smart, sincere, funny, caring, with good morals, and was a superb human being.<br /><br />The parents are devastated. Daniel's mom mourns deeply for her only son. R.I.P. Daniel the ever Adventurist!

Taylor is 6 years old and has been diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. Taylor recently had an operation to remove all the margins of the tumor in her shoulder. Unfortunately they did not get all the areas clear, so Taylor is once again doing chemo and now the Drs may be pushing for radiation as well. Medical bills are adding up as well as prescription expenses. Taylor's family is spending a lot of money in gas driving to and from the hospital as well as eating out all the time. Please pray for Taylor to be healed and get to be back in school with her twin sister doing all the things little 6 yr old girls should be doing!
