<div>My name is Dzifa (G-Fa) Thandolwethu — in Ewe, Dzifa (G-Fa) means “Tranquil Heart,” and in Zulu, Thandolwethu means “Our Love.” I was born Anitra Yancey in the United States, but my heart and soul has always remembered something deeper.

<div>In 2021, I sold everything familiar — my home in Virginia Beach where I raised my two children and taught Middle School Visual Arts for over 20 years.

<div>From Virginia I drove to Tennessee, to Washington State, and traveled to Israel. I was fervently in search of my roots, my heart kept listening.

<div>When war broke out in Jerusalem, October 2023, I went back to the U.S. and finally realized — the “West” I had been hearing wasn’t just directional.
