<div>My name is Yusuf Nasser Ahmed, a 21-year-old Palestinian.

<div>I was forced to flee Gaza in December 2023 after the war destroyed not only our homes but also our dreams, relationships, and future. I left behind everything — my university, my friends, and many members of my family. I lost loved ones and witnessed the collapse of a life I had worked so hard to build. This was not just a war — it was total destruction caused by an occupying army that has targeted our homeland for generations.

<div>I currently live in Egypt with very limited resources. My father lost his job. My mother lost her income. Our home and my university were destroyed. Many of the professors who once taught me are now gone. I used to document life and reality through a camera lens, trying to show beauty despite the suffering. Now, I’m trying to stay strong and rebuild my life from zero.

<div>Despite earning a 2.0 GPA in high school, I have never stopped learning. I completed online courses in programming (Python, HTML, Java), design (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere), and English language.

<div>In 2022, I proudly won second place in the Hult Prize competition for Gaza universities. But today, I am not competing for awards. I am simply asking for a second chance at life — a chance to live a normal, simple, and human life. I don’t seek luxury. I only wish to live like any other university student — to attend classes, return in the afternoon, and see friends in the evening.
