<div>Terri is my friend and co-worker, and she is one of the most hardworking and caring people I know. She is a single mother who has always put her son David first, no matter what challenges life throws her way. David, her  15- year-old son, is outgoing, special, and brings joy to everyone around him. Recently, Terri and David received devastating news: David was diagnosed with Medullablastoma a form of brain cancer. This diagnosis has turned their world upside down, and Terri is now facing the unimaginable challenge of supporting her son through treatment while managing everything else on her own.

<div>Terri has had a rough year personally, but she continues to show incredible strength and resilience. Despite everything, she always puts on a brave face and a smile, doing everything she can for others even when she is struggling herself. Now, with David's illness, Terri is unable to work as she dedicates her time to caring for him and navigating the medical system. The financial strain is overwhelming, with mounting medical bills and everyday living expenses becoming harder to manage.

<div>Luca (8) and Theo (6) Varone are the beloved sons of Danny Varone.  They recently lost their Dad to a motorcycle accident.  To say they meant the world to one another is an understatement, those who were fortunate enough to spend time with them knew exactly their level of adoration for one another.  The Varone boy's hobbies were endless and their train layouts elaborate.

The lawn, laundry, and chores can wait but your time is limited and as Theo would say (after an amazing family trip) "it is not about the beach or pool, the mini golf or his hole in one - it is about Dad, Grampa, Dora, Luca and me spending time together making memories."

<div>My heart is heavy to write this. On the evening of November 4th my mom Lori passed on to heaven comfortably. She was surrounded by those she loved and that loved her. She had been fighting this battle so hard but it became just too much. We are very saddened to have lost such an amazing person. Anybody who knows my mom knows that she was such a sweet soul with a fire side! She was a provider, a protector, a lover, the very best mom! She will never be forgotten.

<div>I am Brittani, as most of you know I am Loris (aka Momma Lori) daughter. Recently my mom was diagnosed with throat and neck cancer unexpectedly. It was the news no child wants to hear nonetheless we were going to fight. We knew it was not going to be easy, her spirits have been high. She told me “whatever I have do to do I’m gonna do it because I have to do it for my kids.”  My mom is a fighter and always has been. She has provided for us kids (as I am one of 4), since we were born. Being faced with so many obstacles that she overcame while always making sure we were taken care of. She is also the bonus momma to all of my friends and my brothers friends who call her “Momma Lori”. She is so very loved and known as the cool mom. She will listen to you on your worst days and laugh with you on your best days. Since I was a baby and since I could remember she was ALWAYS working every day and rarely taking a day off. She always gives her all while she is working &amp; always goes above and beyond for any customer or service she provides at work. She is the absolute strongest woman that I know.

<div>While we were preparing her for treatments and getting everything situated with her medical providers to start treatment she collapsed at work on Thursday 10/5 and was rushed by ambulance to the emergency department, where we thought she may spend a night but we were unexpectedly met with the terms of her being hospitalized for much longer than a night. My mom was not expecting to be out of work through this, but unfortunately she has to, to allow her to become stronger for her treatments, which has also taken a financial toll on my family. Not only has my mom been out of work but my dad has also. This not only has this affected them financially but mentally, emotionally, and physically as well. This is just the beginning of a long fight and journey ahead. I ask that if you can donate anything to help cover medical and other expenses, it will be more than appreciated by me and my family through this difficult time.

<div>Anybody who knows my mom knows she is the most selfless, caring, kind hearted, loving woman and so much more. She would, with no hesitation, do the same for anybody who needed it. The last thing I want is for my parents to have to stress about how the next bill will be paid, how to put gas in the car to be able to be with my mom in a hospital miles away from their home. If a donation cannot be made I ask that for just a moment even 20 seconds to just pray for my incredibly strong mom and family ❤️

<div>Kim grew up in North Grafton and has resided in Auburn since 2007. At the age of 18, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She has been unable to work and has been living on a fixed income. She died unexpectedly.  Kim had a big heart and was always there for everyone and never looked for anything in return.

In Memory of Kimberly (Kim) Hayes

<p>On October 5, 2017, Michael S. Cherry lost his life to a battle with depression and anxiety. Well-known and loved in his community, Michael was acknowledged in his obituary as “a kind soul in an angry world.” By the time Michael was out of technical college, he was assisting those in need, providing aid to Haiti in 2011 and participating in humanitarian efforts in Peru. He spared a lot of love for the hands-on, holding a passion for dirt biking and motorcycles and even owning a repair shop: Cherry City Cycle.

<p>Michael was the son of Andrea Cherry and the late James Cherry. He was born on the Christmas of 1989, remarked as “his mother’s best Christmas present ever.” Michael was only 27 when he passed away.
</p>

<p>On a daily average, 130 people lose their lives to suicide in the U.S. (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention). Quite often, people lose their lives to this epidemic because it seems as if there are no other options readily available. We’re here to show that there are.
</p>

<p>In remembrance of Michael, the Oddball Foundation is hosting the Michael Cherry Memorial Run, a 5k (in which running is optional) intended to show the importance of remembrance, prevention and awareness in conversations concerning suicide. We want to use this run as an opportunity to highlight the imminence of the suicide crisis while also showing that we are merely one in a vast sea of resources for those living with mental health trauma. We need you to join us in the journey of saving lives. We need for you to show up and <em>run for life</em>.

2nd Annual Michael Cherry Memorial 5k

<strong>Wendy Parlin Kiritsy passed away unexpectedly after a brief hospitalization at Rhode Island Hospital on Sunday February 17, 2019.    Beloved wife of Peter, mother of Teddy (Providence College '19) and Isabelle (University of Rhode Island '20), she left behind a deep legacy of loving care and devotion to her family and community.  She had worked in the Grafton public schools as an educator, secretary, and volunteer. Anyone lucky enough to have known her felt the warmth and kindness of her huge heart. <br /><br />This fund will provide financial support to her children's higher education dreams. Teddy is graduating in May 2019 and plans to attend grad school.  He majored in Musical Theatre and minored in History.
