<div>With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our dear friend Albert. He passed away this weekend leaving behind his wife Amanda and children, Damian and Devon.

<div>If you knew Al, you loved him. Many of us have known him for 25+ years. He was our gentle giant, our Ambassador of Fun, our Big Al, a kind friend, a loving husband and father. I don’t think there is one single person in this community that was not touched by Albert’s kindness. He made us all feel special. This is leaving a vast hole in our community. To say this is devastating is an understatement.

<div>This morning, our 12U baseball team — the Tahoe Titans — was doing what small-town kids do best: working hard and supporting each other.
</div>

<div>The boys were selling Tahoe Truckee Jerky outside Safeway to help raise money for their upcoming trip to Cooperstown All-Star Village in New York. By 2:00pm, they had proudly raised $2,000 toward their dream.
</div>

<div>Then the unthinkable happened.
</div>

</div>
<div>A man drove his truck into the table and ran over the boys and moms. Two boys and one mother were struck and transported by ambulance to the hospital. We are still waiting to learn the full extent of their injuries.

<div>Our hearts are heavy. This simply does not feel real. This is our small town. These are our kids.
</div>

<div>Right now, our focus is on supporting the injured players and their families.

<div>The Tahoe Titans are more than a baseball team — they are brothers, friends, classmates, and part of this community.

Support the Tahoe Titans After Today’s Tragedy

Hello! We are asking the community for help. Our wonderful son Ethan Greenwood has Sunflower syndrome a rare form of Epilepsy. Help us get Ethan to Boston MA to seek treatment from the Boston team who is currently leading a trial on Sunflower syndrome on a new medication that could potentially help our son. <br />            Ethan is a bright young man, he is in first grade. Ethan is 7 years old, and loves life! He never lets his illness get the best of him. He loves sports, and his friends, and school, and LOVES being outside<br />             Ethan has hundreds and hundreds of hand waving seizures daily. These seizures last 1-3 seconds during that time Ethan loses consciousness . he is having hundreds daily, making outdoor activities very challenging. Ethan wears dark blue lens sunglasses to try and help reduce seizure activity, as of now they are not working as well as we had hoped.<br />              Our goal is to get Ethan out to Boston to see Doctor Elizabeth Thiele who is running the trial on Sunflower syndrome.
