<div>My mama fell ill August 25th. By the end of that week she was rushed to the ER where it was discovered she needed emergency surgery for a blood clot in her main artery to her colon and kidneys. Her first surgery stabilized her however they left her open to go in days later to finish what they had started. However after her second procedure, it was discovered she had a second blood clot in the portal vein to her liver. They struggled to get her started on dialysis, but the infection had done taken its toll on her body, and her liver was shutting down. She fought for days but ultimately passed away last night. we are devastated and do not have the financial means for the unexpected loss. My parents have been on fixed income, and I had just finally started my new job last week, after being in school for the past year. I have been off this whole week to be by her side every day. Any small contribution you can make would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this loss and begin making arrangements. Thanks to everyone in advance. ♥️

In memory of Debora Jo

On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at 33 years of age, my husband passed away, ending his lifelong battle of depression. See he never got the help he needed, due to the stigma that comes with mental health and drug addiction. And because of that the world lost a person who was so damn beautiful, and half of them never even knew it.
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We had no life insurance on him, no way to bury him, his body is sitting at our local funeral home waiting for me to scrape the money together to give him a meaningful service and cremation/burial. I'm 29 years old putting the love of my life to rest, and I've never done anything like this in my life because I'm proud to a toxic tee, but I could use any help anyone would be willing to grant me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>OJ was creative, and skilled in many ways. He produced instrumentals, and recorded rap in his younger days. As he aged his love of music never faded and at 29 he picked up guitar after I bought him one for Father's day. He practiced religiously. I used to give him songs to learn, and I remember when he surprised by secretly learning and then giving me a performance of  the Game of Thrones opening song. OJ was also a skilled artist, poet, and he even wrote a screenplay for a new Rocky Movie. He loved everything horror, especially old school slasher films.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>OJ was a good guy, with a humongous heart, and if you had his love, you had it forever. His laugh was infectious abd his smile gleaming. He was incredibly unique, the weirder you were the more he liked you. A quote I was told many years ago by our best friend Lacy was this "I like being around OJ, because I can be as Lacy as I want and never have to worry about it." This was one of the most profound, and accurate statements, that anyone has ever made about him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As for his children, he was the best dad. He loved his kids endlessly, once selling his Xbox and games for Christmas and just the last Christmas he sold his guitar. He'd drop everything, even if we were fighting, for his kids, and was constantly looking at them with such pride. His babies he's left behind are 6 year son, OJ Houston III, and 2 year old baby girl, Naomi Rose Marie Houston.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was my first love, and only love. We met in Spring of 2008 started dating a few months later. We married in 2013 and had our first baby in 2014. I miss him so much it aches. I know nobody will ever know me like he did and vice versa. That is the loneliest feeling in the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds will be used to cover funeral or cremation services and any excess will go to setting our children and I up in a new home.

Funeral Expenses for OJ Houston Jr.

We received the heartbreaking news today of Matthew's unexpected passing.  We're unable to cover the cost of the funeral and are trying to raise enough to cover it as we want him to have the proper service instead of cremation. Any bit helps and we are so grateful for any donations made. Thank you<br /><br /><br />Update: had to raise the goal. We originally thought majority of the expense would be covered by medicaid but unfortunately he didnt qualify.

Matthew's funeral

This is my son Daniel Maldonado he’s 26 years old and is a father to my 7 year old granddaughter Ivy. On February 16th my son was having severe headaches that wouldn’t go away. He went to the emergency room at the Newton Iowa hospital were he was told he had a tumor in his head. He was then rushed to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines Iowa and the tumor was removed. Unfortunately for him it was a very aggressive cancer called Medulloblastoma. It is very rare and normally found in children. His proton radiation treatment is not offered in Iowa and we will need to travel from Iowa to Rochester Minnesota for his treatments. Treatments will be approximately 6 weeks long. We are in desperate need of financial assistance towards transportation, housing, and medical expenses due to our loss of employment because of the cancer. I will be a permanent caregiver for him. If you could support my GoFundMe by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, I would greatly appreciate it. I know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps me get closer to my goal! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them.
