<div>Six months ago, my dad was full of life — dancing, walking, talking, living life and making everyone around him laugh. Today, he can no longer do those things or needs much assistance. At just 64 years old, our dad has been diagnosed with ALS, and it has taken away his independence faster than we could have ever imagined.

<div>This came out of nowhere. One moment, he was helping others, fixing things around the house, and spending time with his children. Now, he needs help with even the simplest daily tasks. Watching someone you love — someone so strong, kind, and full of faith — lose their ability to move or speak is absolutely heartbreaking.

<div>But even through all of this, my dad’s faith in God has never wavered. He is a humble, faithful servant of the Lord — a man who has always given more than he’s taken, who prays for others before himself, and who has shown us what true love and perseverance look like.

<div>Our family is doing everything we can to make him comfortable and give him the care he deserves, but ALS comes with overwhelming medical and financial challenges — equipment, home modifications, travel to appointments, and caregiving support. We’re humbly asking for help to ease some of these burdens so we can focus on what matters most: spending precious time with our dad.

Support Dad's Battle Against ALS

<font color="#333333">For most of his life, Clint and his four legged service dog, Lucas have sat quietly on the curb of a Waco Chick-fil-a with a sign that reads “WAR VETERAN- anything helps.”<br /><br />For the past three years, I’ve driven past him, blinded by my own privilege &amp; consumed with fear of the unknown. <br /><br />That changed recently when I decided the least I could do was get a man who served his country a burrito.. &amp; I did. After giving it to him, however, I realized upon arriving home that I had actually given him the bag with only sauce- a mistake that would both embarrass me and inspire me to go back &amp; make it right.<br /><br />What started as an accident has turned into both a viral story on the internet &amp; a friendship that is changing &amp; softening not only my heart- but millions of others. <br /><br />As a 60 year old war veteran, Clint suffers from both Post Traumatic Stress Disorder &amp; Parkinson’s Disease- two disabilities that don’t make life on the streets any easier. He has goals to start a flag business, have enough to give back to others in his same situation, and most importantly: secure stability in a world that has only told him “No.”<br /><br />I am asking for your help in raising enough funds to permanently keep him off the streets, fund a place for him to sleep consistently, pay for his day to day needs, and hopefully help kickstart the business he’s dreamed about for years. <br /><br />There is strength in numbers and love, and there has already been an outpouring of support for this hero &amp; his puppy. In a situation like this, anything helps. Helping Clint the Veteran Find Home
