<div>So several months ago, I noticed that something was not right with me. My balance was off. My coordination was getting worse. I had double vision occasionally. No appetite, fatigue etc. I went to the doctor for a full workup and blood work. The blood work seemed good, but I knew something else was going on so I pressed for a CT scan on my brain.  The scan was scheduled for the 17th, and it just so happened that I had a pretty scary seizure that morning.  Shaking uncontrollably for several minutes.   Once that stopped, I drove to the hospital and was admitted for 2 days of tests.  The CT and MRI both showed a 2 cm tumor in my brain and 2 other tiny ones.    My team of doctors is terrific and have been very aggressive with my treatment.  I've had 3 cyber knife treatments for the brain tumors, so hopefully that's done with.  I had a lung biopsy that they are working on the pathology for chemo and radiation.   Looks like a 6 week treatment for that.  So we'll see.   I'm unable to work currently so I've applied for Short term disability to try to get some sort of income to pay the rent.

Support Ken's Battle with Brain and Lung Cancer

<div>Hey everyone, my name is Amanda and I’m looking for help raising funds for my dad, Tom Keilyk, who was in an accident yesterday evening.

<div>He was on his way home from work on his electric bike and was ran off the road by a vehicle and was left there alone. My dad hit his face and was very confused and disoriented. Since he passed out, he did not get a glimpse of the car and unfortunately the house he was in front of did not have cameras. So finding the person driving the car is near impossible.
</div>

<div>He has a broken sternum (but no punctures), maxillary and mandibular fractures and displacements, and missing teeth. His jaw is wired shut with screws right now, but he will need further surgery.
</div>

<div>My dad thinks he’s younger than he is and thought he could just go home and sleep it off. Obviously, that’s not the case. His birthday is on Friday and he’ll be 61. Clearly not in fast recovery age.
</div>

<div>If you have ever met my dad, you’d know that he’s a big goofball. He loves his wife (Terilee), kids (me, Tommy, and Adam) and his grandkids (Ella, Everleigh, Savannah, and soon to be new baby girl) immensely. The grandkids are shaken up and worried for him and it breaks my heart for them.

<div>He will not be able to work for a little while, and his bike is destroyed. And with the surgeries and being transported to Cooper trauma unit, we will be struggling. So, if you have even a few cents to spare, we would appreciate it more than you could ever know.

Support Tom Keilyk's Road to Recovery

<div>Hello, I am writing on behalf of Brian and Dan's friend group to ask for your help in supporting Dan Davis and Brian Blatz, who are struggling with significant medical expenses and the loss of their restaurant business.

<div>In January, Dan suffered a life-threatening heart and blood infection. He was hospitalized for 41 days, with 10 days on life support, 17 in a coma and a month in a rehab facility. During that time, Brian managed to advocate for Dan, keep the restaurant running and cover Dan's role in the kitchen. Their bad luck grew even worse when an agreement could not be reached regarding their lease and sadly, Fiddleheads will be closing its doors for good on June 18, 2023.

<div>Brian and Dan have served their community lovingly for nearly 20 years without fail, even during the pandemic. Fiddleheads' rich history includes hundreds of family celebrations, first dates, girls' night outs, fundraising dinners, food pantry collections, coat drives, art shows and so many more meals that have impacted our lives.
