<div>San Franciscan <strong>Jason Seneca</strong> is better known as performing artist <strong>Christina Ashton</strong> with his impersonations of Cher, Reba McEntire, Bette Midler and “her”own persona. He’s held numerous community titles &amp; helped raise well over $200,000 before, during &amp; after the Covid-19 pandemic. The community raised funds to support him in April 2024 when his cardiologist diagnosed him with Attila Fibrillation (heart not beating at the correct speed and rhythm). He was prescribed two medications that didn’t correct the problem. He had a pacemaker placed in May.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Recent test results came back and Jason has to be admitted to the hospital again soon for three days to start a drug where he has to be monitored; the first step to strengthen his heart enough for a procedure a couple of months from now.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>He recently shared: </strong>

</div>

<div>“As I’ve navigated my issues with heart failure and posted with full transparency my medical journey, the feedback I get is: What do you need? How can I help? Reach out if you need anything!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><em>“I’m now 6+ months into being unemployed other than some Drag Shows; and I’ve been dropped from corporate gigs for “insurance reasons.”</em>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><em>“What I honestly need is financial help. I have managed to find some rental assistance, but not enough. Some food assistance, but not enough. And medications that aren’t covered by insurance, nowhere near enough… this is the help I’m asking for.</em>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><em>“Thank you to the many generous donors who responded near and far to the first GoFundMe campaign, when we thought this was a short term health problem. It touched my heart &amp; helped me survive, along with my emotional support dog Jax.”</em>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As we enter the season of gratitude and giving, we invite everyone to donate any size donation to meet our goal to help Jason cover medical and living expenses for five months, until he’s hopefully recovered and able to return to employment. Funds raised go direct to his bank account to help pay rent, $688 in Rx copays this month, phone, food, &amp; pet food.

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you kindly.

Support Jason Seneca's Heart Recovery Journey

<div>San Franciscan Jason Seneca is better known as performing artist Christina Ashton with his impersonations of Cher, Reba McEntire, Bette Midler and his own persona. Recently he qualified to improve his living situation from an SRO in a dangerous part of the Tenderloin neighborhood, to a below market rate studio in a new building at Jones near Market streets. His emotional support dog Jax is able to move with him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He needs to submit a deposit of $895 and first month's rent of $895 by April 1, 2024, to get the apartment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately he was beset with a serious health crisis and a cardiologist diagnosed him with Attila Fibrillation (heart not beating at the correct speed and rhythm). He was prescribed two medications and if they don't correct the problem quickly, Jason may need surgery to have a pacemaker placed. Stress management is critical at this time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Friends established this fund so he can take advantage of improving his living situation (qualifying for and obtaining below market rate housing is difficult), and to help him with living expenses until he is able to work again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jason/Christina has been heavily involved in the Bay Area LGBTQ+ community, activism and fundraising since he moved here five years ago. He has served as Queen XVIII of Krewe de Kinque charitable Mardi Gras Club, and is the current reigning Grand Duchess of the Grand Ducal Council of San Francisco. During two years of the Covid pandemic, his drag trio "3 Queens are We" performed safely outdoors numerous times to raise funds and awareness for local businesses and staff to stay afloat. He has literally raised tens of thousands of dollars for many causes. Jason is also a mentor to others in the drag and fundraising community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We humbly invite your support to help a friend in need, who has been a dear friend to many. Thank you for any size donation as we hope to reach our goal quickly to get Jason and Jax into a better home on April 1st.
