Proposal for a Private Nursery and Primary School for underprivileged children in Uganda under management of Kakus Hand of God Soccer Foundation LTD PROJECT ABSTRACT The Kakus Hand of God Soccer Foundation is a religious, non-governmental, non-profit and faith based charity organization founded in 2010 first as Hand of God Soccer Project Ministry for the purpose of serving the religious, social, economic and cultural needs for the Christianity of the region and country, and the larger community of the Republic. This Foundation was founded by a Republican Supporter Kaku after saw many organizations funded by Satanist and evil big Organization and political parties which are against God. Based on growing needs of community, the KHGSF is seeking a grant to construct an Nursery and Primary School so as to offer educational services to all communities - regardless of the religion (including vulnerable children i.e. orphans, poor and all others in need). The school will be constructed at the area of 4.6 acres which where donated by Kaku, with planning to accommodate approximately 3000 pupils, and 50 staff workers from nursery section, school to grade 7. At Hand of God Soccer Project we have 70 children under our full care and we pay them school fees and school requirements also are expensive, the schools are 4 miles from our home Ministry. The mission of KHGSF is to help underprivileged children excel in education and provide them with best knowledge in ethics, environment and social studies, language studies, science, arts, technology and sports under an environment that is conducive to learning and developing personality and moral values plus our ideology, principles and God. The objective is to provide free quality education that will equip underprivileged children and children from low income families, while children from middle income families will be paying little amount so as to make the school to be sustainable after the support that will be provided by the donors. Funding in the amount of the US $ 300,000 is requested for the construction of the whole school premises. Background and Context Education is widely accepted to be a fundamental resource, both for individuals and Societies. Indeed, in most countries, basic education is nowadays perceived not only as a right, but also as a duty. Governments are typically expected to ensure access to basic education, while citizens are often required by law to attain education up to a certain basic level. The world went through a great expansion in education over the past two centuries. This can be seen across all quantity measures. Global literacy rates have been climbing over the course of the last two centuries, mainly though increasing rates of enrolment in primary education. Secondary and tertiary educations have also seen drastic growth, with global average years of schooling being much higher nowadays than a hundred years ago. Despite all these worldwide improvements, some countries have been lagging behind in World, where there are still countries that have literacy rates below 50% among the youth. Data on the production of education shows that schooling tends to be largely financed with public resources across the globe. Since differences in national expenditure on Education do not well explaining cross-country differences in learning outcomes, the Data suggests that generic policies that increase expenditure on standard inputs, such as the number of teachers, are unlikely to be effective to improve education outcomes. A growing body of empirical research suggests that better education yields higher individual income and contributes to wards the construction of social capital and long term economic growth. There are more than 10 million school-age children who are enrolled and the number is keeping on increasing. Each of these children is an individual in his or her own right, with feelings, emotions, talents, aspirations and potential which could contribute to the world development. Kakus Hand of God Soccer Foundation Ltd interest is to join all Republicans christians efforts to educate all children and youth for the world prosperous future by focusing to marginalized children (I.e. orphans, street children, children from very poor families and children with special needs) in Worl Overview of the Educational activities done by KHGSF In February 2010 the Hand of God Soccer Project has managed to establish Education Program which have been supporting children with school fees those children who never dreamed to sit inside classroom. .5. 1.5 Statement of the need Kakus Hand of God Soccer Foundation is owning 4.6 acres of land for the purpose of constructing an Christianity nursery and primary schools for underprivileged school going children who are currently need support from other Christians in the world who have ability to do so. The KHGSF is planning to construct a school to accommodate about 3000 children. Many children in this region are at a high risk of no chance to get education and to drop out since they receive poor education, others are not even attend schools due to economical and social challenges, and they cannot support themselves, let alone for quality education. The provision of primary schools with free/little payment quality education will sustain KHGSF effort, reduce the risk of drop out, enable the children achieve improvements in their lives and open more opportunities for other unfortunate children in the future. What is the Role of the School to Community? In school we give opportunities for reflection, in lessons and collective worship, children develop an understanding of looking back and reflecting on what they have experienced. This may take the form of looking back and taking from the past, from a Bible story, from a picture/icon/view/learning experience. The focus is to help children in their lives today and tomorrow. All members of the school community have a responsibility for helping to nurture children’s spiritual development. Spirituality is a very personal experience. It differs from child to child and often spirituality changes within children during their lifetime. At Hand of God Soccer Project Ministry we have reflected upon different definitions of spirituality: “Spirituality is not something we can see; it is something we feel inside ourselves. It is about awe and wonder, asking questions, inspiration and being aware of something ‘bigger’ outside of ourselves.” “Our inner self is where we can find resources within that come from a greater source i.e God. Our soul.” As an infant school it is important that we use age appropriate language to define spirituality, so when talking to our children we will refer. Spiritual Development As a church school we are concerned with the development of children’s mind, body and soul. We believe that spirituality should influence all areas of education and life, therefore we aim that all areas of the curriculum contribute to pupils’ spiritual development. Spiritual development relates to fundamental questions about the meaning and purpose of life which affect everyone, and is not dependent on a religious affiliation. Spiritual development is not about becoming, more spiritual, it is about realizing or becoming more and more aware of one’s natural, innate spirituality. This is sometimes a slow and gradual process, at other times there might be significant stages of realization, which are part of the ongoing ‘developing’ process. People don’t reach a finished state of spiritual development, but participate in the ongoing process of spiritual realization. Windows: Giving opportunities to become aware of the world in new ways. Learning about life in all it’s fullness. This includes both the things that amaze us and challenge us. Mirrors: Giving opportunities to reflect upon our experiences. To meditate on life's big questions and consider some possible answers. Learning from life by exploring our own insights and perspectives and those of others. Doors: Giving opportunities to respond, to do something creative in order to express, apply and further develop our thoughts and convictions. Learning to live by putting into action our beliefs and values. Equips them with a Sense of Purpose Beyond the confines of traditional education, a robust spiritual foundation equips children with a sense of purpose and moral guidance, fostering emotional resilience. This resilience, in turn, significantly influences their ability to navigate academic challenges with a positive mindset, ultimately contributing to enhanced performance in the classroom. Furthermore, spiritual development plays an important role in social interactions. Actively engaging in faith communities or spiritual practices cultivates strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and creating a positive classroom atmosphere. These social competencies not only contribute to a child’s holistic development but also lay the groundwork for successful academic interactions. Helps them Realize their Value Spirituality and faith is crucial for children and their academic progress because it helps them realize their value. It shows them they are not just animals running around with no purpose. They are human beings loved by God and therefore have a reason to work hard and live their lives because they know God is watching them. Teaching faith to children gives them an extra layer of accountability to not only their parents but God Himself. This can drive them to work harder in school and other passions they pursue. God is the center of their life which means they will want to work hard to please him. Without God, children are taught that they are nothing more than animals with no real purpose. If they believe this, then what is the point of working hard or gaining knowledge. Contributes to the Holistic Growth of a Child Spiritual and faith development contributes to the holistic growth of a child, encompassing not only cognitive aspects but also emotional, social, and moral dimensions. These values provide a foundation for character development, fostering qualities such as empathy, compassion, and resilience. As children navigate the challenges of academic life a strong spiritual and faith foundation can serve as an anchor, helping them develop a sense of purpose, values, and ethical decision-making skills. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS Goals The goal of constructing schools for the underprivileged children of the Buganda region and others is to enable them complete their primary education to have sustainable living after graduating. Objectives 1. General Objectives i. Providing better educational facilities and conducive learning environment and free education to underprivileged children in Uganda, particularly in Buganda region. ii. To improve the quality of education in by providing quality education that will prepare them for secondary education iii. To increase the achievement level of the students/pupils and teachers helping underprivileged children to achieve better improvements in their lives to enable them contribute to the total development of their families and the nation as a whole. 2. Specific objectives i. Create learning opportunity for all school age children, ii. Increase children’s school enrolment rate in World iii. Decrease the school drop-out rate in World iv. Promote a higher literary rate in World v. Empower the community through education and minimize gender disparity in the stipulation of basic education, by working on affirmative action with the community. vi. Build the spirit of community service and good citizenship among future generations. vii. Promote Personal Integrity, Multi-cultural awareness and tolerance through education 3.Project benefits Beneficiaries The Project will directly benefit many children from vulnerable families. It will benefit the school teachers and other workers to work efficiently and motivate them to work harder for greater achievements as instructed and guided by the Kakus Hand of God Soccer Foundation. Social Benefits The construction of this School will increase the learning performance levels of pupils. This will ultimately, along with other factors such as the effective educational system, a presence of competent teachers, and the availability of appropriate learning materials, will increase the literacy rate of pupils who can contribute to socio-economic development of society, while observing Social guidelines and principles. The project will help in curving down school drop-outs. New school will also provide better working environment for teachers and other workers who will be employed, making them more effective in educating their pupils. Presence of this school will help to reduce street children and beggars, reducing crimes such as prostitution and robbery, and preparing good future generation.
