Clonoulty to Croker Juvenille Fundraiser

Clonoulty Rossmore hurlers and camogie players will take part in a 24 hour cycle on January 7th to raise funds for the continued development of the facilities at Clonoulty Rossmore GAA grounds. Following completion of the AstroTurf and hurling wall facility last year, the club will next invest in new ball retention nets and pitch upgrades.

Money raised has already gone towards a training fund for both adult camogie teams who contested county finals at Senior and Junior level in October.

Your support is greatly appreciated and will help to continue to provide top class facilities to players of all ages and serve the community for years to come. Thank you

On the evening of July 25th 2022, Jacqui, Marc and the Mullins family suffered the most sudden and tragic loss of their beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a fun, energetic, rugby-loving Irish boy who was just beginning his life's journey.

Dylan was the firstborn of the five Mullins children and Marc and Jacqui were so very proud of who he was and all that he had accomplished during his too short of time here on this earth.

The Mullins family want to take Dylan home to Ireland to be laid to rest in the soil that he was born on, where he took his first steps and where he is surrounded by the souls who love him from now until eternity. He was a good boy who came from good stock and we want to do all that we can to make their time with their boy as comfortable as possible.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help little Adam and his family build the home that they have dreamed of.

Adam is 7 and has a severe form of Autism, he is non-verbal with sensory issues. Adam is a warm and loving child with a smile that would melt your heart.

At the moment the family are living in a mobile home between Rossmore and Upperchurch in Co. Tipperary. They were trying to fix up the house they had bought, but the work that was needed was overwhelming. The house needs total refurbishment to bring it up to living standard.

Patrick, his Dad, is Adams's full-time carer and his mum Anne Marie works as a carer in a nursing home in Cashel. They have two daughters Leah and Michaela who are brilliant with Adam and do their best for him in the little space they have.

Who are we?

We are a group of ordinary people who have come together in the last year or so to help out people just like ourselves who just may need a helping hand. We are all volunteers with big hearts who just want to help. We don't have any funding of any kind and rely totally on the goodness of others. We have helped a couple families out already, one family in Limerick and one in Tipperary. We got little Eve into her new home just before Christmas, if you would like to know more about Eve look up Eve The Warrior Princess on Facebook and follow her story there.

Each volunteer has something to bring to the builds, and we welcome anyone that wants to help out in any way.

So please join us if you can or you may know someone in the building trade that can help. Please share to help get our message out there.

We will keep everyone posted on how things are going from week to week and hopefully with everyone's help we will make a wonderful home for Adam.

Any donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated and will help us to get Adam into a safe and secure home designed for his needs.

Thank You ❤❤❤

Adams Home Team Goodness 2021

Pieta House reached out to me, as they have experienced a rise in calls due to the pandemic.

Looking after your mental health is a cause that is very close to my heart.

My family less than a year ago went through the heartbreak of suicide so I understand first hand the devastation it brings to a family and the importance of having access to free services like Pieta House.

We all struggle with mental health, including myself. This is a very testing time for everyone. With the Darkness into Light walk being postponed this year I wanted to help raise much needed funds.

I understand during this time people have lost their jobs and are out of work but I would love if you could donate €5 (or whatever you can afford at this time) to this very worthy cause. It really would make such a difference to help everyone at a time when we so need it.

I’ve started off the donation, please donate what you can and help remind everyone that where there is life there is hope,

We're all in this together

Thank you so much

Louise

x

Some additional info on Pieta House:

Last year 8,048 people came through our doors for suicide, self-harm, and bereaved by suicide services and they have reached over 59,529 people since their doors first opened in 2006. In 2019 alone, there were 13,705 phone calls answered and 31,139 text messages replied to via their 24 hour helpline services. Without Darkness Into Light they are asking the public for support to ensure our services can be sustained during this difficult time.

Where your money will go:

€15 will keep the lights on in one our fifteen Centres across Ireland.

€20 helps our therapists answer two more calls to our helpline.

€45 is a crisis counselling session between scheduled sessions.

€90 is the first session of a dedicated therapy session.

€251 ensures we can deliver the first Resilience Academy programme to a class of secondary school students.

€1000 provides an entire programme of therapy for one person with suicidal ideation or engaging in self-harm.

Getting in touch with them:

Their lines are understandably very busy and during these challenging times and unfortunately sometimes there will be difficulty getting through.

If this happens to they’re asking people to text HELP to 51444 or email them at [email redacted] with a name and contact details so they can get back to you.

The helpline and text service operate 24hours a day 7 days a week, while email response operates Monday-Friday from 8am to 8pm.

The HSE have a 24 hour Freephone helpline that provides information and signposting for all mental health supports on 1800 111 888
