<div>Tragically, the Eaton Fire has destroyed our family home in Altadena, California. While we are incredibly thankful that my grandmother and Aunt were able to evacuate safely but they literally fled for their lives with the clothes on their backs, the loss of our home is devastating and extremely traumatizing to say the least.

<div>For my 83-year-old Grandma, this home held countless cherished memories spanning over 50 years. It was a sanctuary for our family, a place where we celebrated birthdays, holidays, and countless gatherings. Grandma, a dedicated employee at Huntington Hospital for over 30 years, always opened her doors to those in need, offering comfort and support to family and many in our community.

<div>My mother's home, while still standing, has also suffered significant smoke damage and is currently uninhabitable.

<div>Shelby Allen and her 6 ½-year-old son, James, are in a tough spot right now and really need a helping hand. They moved to Altadena just a few weeks ago, hoping to start fresh and build a better life after leaving Nevada. But life threw them a major curveball—the Altadena home they were staying in is gone.

<div>Shelby is doing everything she can to keep things together for James, who’s left Nevada in the 1st grade and is currently being home schooled. She’s looking for work in hospitality while also trying to figure out where they can live and where James can go to school. But with just one week left of housing, they’re running out of options and could end up at the Pasadena Civic Center if something doesn’t change soon.

<div>Because the home they were staying in belonged to friends and was not yet her official residence, Shelby doesn’t qualify for many of the programs that could help. That’s why we’re turning to you—to help give Shelby and James the stability they desperately need to get back on their feet.

<div>My good neighbors across the street on Fair Oaks in Altadena, GT and Vikki, along with their adult son Tyler, lost their house in the Eaton<strong> </strong>Fire<strong>.</strong> I’m starting this on their behalf because my coworkers did one for me and I hope G and Vikki can get the same support. I know they have the same basic expenses I’ve run into - food, clothing, shelter, a thousand sundries in addition to food for their ginormous dog Roger. They’ve been great neighbors and I’m going to miss Tyler’s beaming smile and the wave and 'what’s up B' I’d get from GT pretty much every day… well, for a little while at least, hopefully. Anyway, thanks for the help and take care.

<div>Hello everyone, my name is Cristina Rincon and my father, Jose Trinidad Rincon, along with my family, has faced a devastating loss: their home. A wildfire that broke out in Eaton Canyon on the night of January 7, 2025, destroyed the home I was raised in, reducing it to ashes.

<div>In our family home lived my father, my sister  Maria Rincon with her seven-year-old son, my grandfather who is 93 years old and has multiple medical conditions, and my aunt who was the primary caregiver for my grandfather. My father recently rehoused my grandpa from his country to our home here in Altadena, California, due to his age and medical concerns. now my family is currently homeless and distraught with this tragedy.

<div>My father not only lost his home but everything that he has worked so hard for. He came to this country with absolutely nothing and worked tirelessly to give us an amazing family home. He lost all of his work trucks and all the material and tools that he needs to use daily to pay for the beautiful home that once stood there.

<div>To say the least, my dad is so humble and helpful to all those around him, and anyone who knows him will vouch for this. He always opened his home to family and friends, and now all that is gone. This man is the best father and grandpa anyone can ask for. He did everything for those around him.

<div>A loved one, Jonathan Franklin and his family lost their homes.

<div>They evacuated with very few items in hopes they would return but unfortunately, they lost it all and no longer have anything to go back to with what little they have packed. Thankfully, they are all safe and have each other. However, they will have to reform their lives and homes.
