Karen Cothern

Karen is starting this fundraiser for her sister Angie and her nephew, Kresden, during an incredibly difficult and stressful transition. For the last few years, Karen’s sister has worked hard to create a stable life for herself and Kresden, pushing through one setback after another and doing everything asked of her to keep moving forward. She is a single mom and does not have support from Kresden’s father, which makes this sudden loss even harder to carry alone. Most recently, she found a job she loved, one that kept her close to home and helped cover the bills. After the company was sold, policies changed, and even though she met every requirement placed in front of her, secured housing, and made plans for Kresden to attend school again, she was suddenly told the new company would not allow her to transfer and keep her job. What should have been a fresh start quickly turned into another painful setback. Right now, the biggest need is help covering the essentials while Karen’s sister searches for new work. Donations will go toward rent, utilities, and other bills for the next few weeks, along with clothes for Kresden to attend school, fuel for job searching, and basic day-to-day needs until a new job is secured. Karen is asking anyone who is able to please donate or share this fundraiser to help her sister and Kresden stay stable during this time.
