<div><strong>Willie Nelson is a former street cat who stumbled into one of our feral cat feeding stations, but it turns out he was anything but feral!</strong> This sweet boy deserves a forever home, and our plan is to grant his New Year’s wish!

<div>Unfortunately, Willie Nelson suffered a major setback on his journey home. On January 6th, we found Willie suffering an acute respiratory episode. We found him sitting in his litter box, unable to move, his breathing very heavy and ragged. We got him to our vet, who was able to give him oxygen and conduct x-rays. Once stabilized, Willie was transferred to our local veterinary emergency hospital, where he remained for two days. His total vet bills to date including his hospital stay, x-rays, neuter surgery, and initial evaluation and testing, reflect our goal of $5290. As I am an independent cat rescuer with no affiliations to larger organizations, I am dependent on the donations of the public. All invoices for Willie's care are in my latest update. Details on his condition and his care plan going forward are also included.

<div>I am reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and fellow soccer enthusiast, Jonathan Bracco, and his family. Jonathan, along with his two children who are active members of our club, has been an integral part of Aiken Futbol Club since 2020. His children, a 2012 and a 2015 player, have brought joy and enthusiasm to our club, and Jonathan's unwavering support as a soccer parent has enriched our community.

<div>In addition to his involvement with our club, Jonathan has devoted his time and energy to working with AT&amp;T and selflessly volunteered at the Eureka Fire Department. His dedication to both his career and community service exemplifies the kind of person he is—a caring and selfless individual who always puts others first.

</div>
<div>However, on March 1st, 2024, Jonathan's life was forever changed when he was involved in a devastating car accident on his way home from work. The injuries he sustained are extensive and severe:

<div>- Two brain bleeds
</div>
<div>- Bleeding around his spleen
</div>
<div>- Broken collarbone and femur, with his femur shattered into six pieces
</div>
<div>- Collapsed lung
</div>
<div>- Multiple rib and spine fractures

<div>- Eight ribs on his left side reinforced with titanium

<div>Jonathan's injuries have required numerous surgeries and treatments. At one point, he had to be placed on a ventilator to assist with breathing. The road to recovery for Jonathan is long, challenging, and filled with uncertainties.

<div>The financial burden of Jonathan's medical bills and ongoing care is overwhelming for his family. As a community that cares deeply for Jonathan, his children, and his contributions to our club, we are coming together to offer our support during this difficult time. Aid Jonathan Bracco’s Recovery: Medical Bills Fund

<div>We want to fundraise to help Debbie Brown, tireless supporter of Do It Right!, be with her daughter, Lauren, currently living in Beechwood Canyon, California. Recently, Lauren was diagnosed with a highly-aggressive glioblastoma, grade 4 brain tumor. In the four weeks since receiving surgery at UCLA, Lauren’s tumor has grown back about twenty percent.

<div>A trained artist, Debbie offered to paint plein-air paintings for reliable sources residing in Beechwood Canyon in exchange for nothing more than a bed and bath. However, at this time, we feel Debbie should focus all her energies on spending time with her daughter.

<div>Our little angel, Darlie, passed away on July 2nd, 2022.  She was a happy, vibrant, energetic, exuberant, and loving young girl who loved singing, dancing, and running around everywhere, among other things.

<div>Whether it was a simple shopping trip to the grocery store or a day at the nail salon, she enjoyed spending time with her older sister, mom, and grandmother.  She could often be found watching television with her grandfather or spending time with her uncle, with whom she shared a birthday.  Due to her armed forces duties, her aunt would come to visit for short intervals at a time, but when she did, Darlie would light up with happiness and spend as much time with her as she could.

<div>Her energy and beautiful smile could bring instant joy to anyone, no matter their situation.  She had recently finished 3rd grade and was looking forward to starting summer school before going to the 4th grade in the fall.  Her loss was a massive shock to our family.  We continue to grieve our loss.

<div>We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Darlie's funeral as we are still trying to get back on our feet financially due to the pandemic.  Any amount you can donate will genuinely be helpful and much appreciated.  Any extra funds leftover will be donated to the Animal Humane Society as Darlie was a massive lover of animals.

<div>I am fundraising for the family of Chris Hickman age 43. Chris was a contractor who started his own business in 2021 Custom Building Solutions. He passed away from Covid on Jan 4 2022 leaving behind a wife and three kids ages 13, 12 and 9.

My cousin Jessica suggested we do a fund raiser to help raise money for my brothers family.  I agreed 100% and decided to help set it up! <br /><br />Currently, Taylor's wife Tara is in the ICU with COVID-19, fighting for her life.  She was admitted on December 15th with pneumonia and has been on a ventilator since the 17th.  During this time she has been sedated and was on a paralytic until a few days ago.  She has a fever that they cannot seem to bring down.  She has had a blood transfusion to get her hemoglobin up.  Today she had a tracheotomy as they didn't want her on the tube any longer because it would start to erode her vocal cords and esophagus.  The ventilator is hooked up through the trach.  <br /><br />Now I want to tell you a little about Taylor and Tara.  They are kind, caring, compassionate people who took in a family members 4 kids to give them a better life as their father suffered a massive stroke and was no longer able to care for them.  They have been raising these kids as their own along with their 3 children.  Taylor is currently out of work trying to take care of 7 children on his own, all while worrying about Tara as he is not allowed to go to the hospital.<br /><br />When the time comes, it will be a long road to recovery and more medical expenses for this family.  They haven't even celebrated Christmas yet as the kids want to wait for Tara to come home so they can celebrate as a family.<br /><br />Please donate if you can.  Anything would be appreciated!  <br /><br />Thank you!

Courtney was a fighter and did everything possible to make lasting memories with Jordan and her husband, Brian. Jordan is a beautiful, smart, and amazing little girl whose smile and charisma lights up the room.  <br /><br />I am asking for friends, family, and supporters of Courtney Paradise to sponsor me as I run the Columbia Marathon, on March 7th, in memory of Courtney. All funds raised will be put into a scholarship fund for Jordan Paradise to continue attending St. John's United Methodist Church Preschool and Kindergarten program where she will be surrounded by familiar and loving faces.  All money raised, that exceeds school costs, will be given directly to the Paradise family.The family has experienced many financial hardships through the cost of treatment, travel, and funeral costs. Please help me raise money to keep Jordan where she can have some normalcy through this difficult time. <br /><br />Courtney's story can be found on her Facebook page, Corky's Crusaders.<br /><br />The following text is from Courtney's "Corky's Crusaders" Facebook page (written October 2013): May 17, 2011, my life and my family's life changed forever. This is the day I heard the dreaded "C" word. I was diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer at age 28. I did not know what to think. I was just married 2 weeks earlier and had a 15 month old little girl to take care of. I immediately went into fight mode and have not came out of it yet. The rest of 2011 was filled with chemo, surgeries, and radiation. In January of 2012 I went on a antiestrogen drug to keep the cancer away. Well, in May of 2012, we found out that it had spread to bones. Now I'm in extreme fight mode because my cancer has been upgraded to Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. I went on several different medications to keep the cancer "stable". All was good until June of 2013. My tumor markers were starting to rise again. This resulted in 2 more medication changes to try to stabilize the cancer. This brings us to now. October 2013, we found out that the cancer has spread to several other bones and now in my liver. Now my fight is even stronger than ever. I started chemotherapy on October 31, 2013 and God willing this will get the cancer back under control. <br /><br />Courtney's last days were spent making memories with Jordan and Brian at Disney World. She entered a hospital in Orlando, on February 20th, and passed a few days later. The picture above is Courtney and Jordan enjoying bomb pops together, in her hospital bed, just hours before she went to our Lord. SHE WAS A FIGHTER!
