My Story Hello everyone, my name is Ali, and I’m reaching out for support after a very difficult and painful experience. On July 3, 2025, I created a GoFundMe campaign to help my friends. I shared it on Twitter, and about three hours later, someone contacted me saying he knew a way to help my campaign receive donations. I asked who he was, and he told me he had seen my campaign and that someone had helped him with his own fundraiser before. I asked for proof, and he showed me his campaign. I believed him. What Happened He then told me to contact another person. When I did, that person said he could help my campaign only if I paid him. I questioned this, but he kept pressuring me, saying that if I didn’t pay, I would never receive donations. He kept swearing to God, and because I believe in God, I trusted him. Later, he asked for my password. I told him I didn’t want to give it to him, but he said it was the only way he could help my campaign. I believed him. After about one month, he changed my password. When I confronted him, he apologized and gave it back. Over the next three months, he continued to take advantage of me. He made me send money through Fiverr and Upwork, and I ended up giving him my password six different times. Each time, he changed it again. The Loss I know now that I should not have trusted him, but at the time, I truly believed him. In the end, I was able to secure my accounts, but I lost around $13,000. That amount of money has been devastating for me. I’ve tried everything to recover it, but nothing has worked. I have all the messages, payment records, and proof saved. For privacy reasons, I can’t post everything publicly, but I am not afraid to share the truth with anyone who asks. How You Can Help I am asking for help to get back on my feet. Hi, my name is Ali. I’m the producer of our upcoming film Denver Dimension. My friend Meteca is the writer and director. We both love filmmaking and want to create something that shows imagination and the beauty of Denver Dimension.  Here's the log-line for Denver Dimension: A woman trapped in a cluster of parallel realities, has to find her way out, or face an unexpected death of her normal self.   We just graduated from Emily Griffith Technical College, and this is our first big film as independent filmmakers. I’ve worked on a short narrative film before where I helped behind the scenes as a camera assistant at Denver Community Media. It was a really good experience, and I learned a lot from it. But this film is different it will be longer, have higher quality, and tell a deeper story.   Your support will go directly toward the tools and equipments we need to bring this film to life everything from cameras and lights to microphones, editing software, and other productions gear.
