Codi and Andrew’s journey has been filled with both hope and heartbreak. When Codi became pregnant with twins, their family was overjoyed. However, their world changed when the twins developed twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a rare and serious condition. The family traveled to New York City for a life-saving surgery, hoping for the best outcome. Despite their courage and the efforts of the medical team, the surgery was not successful, and Codi had to deliver the babies at just 24 weeks gestation.

 Shortly after delivery, they experienced the unimaginable loss of Baby B. Now, Baby A continues to fight bravely in the NICU, surrounded by the love and strength of Codi and Andrew. The family remains in NYC, facing mounting medical bills, travel, and lodging expenses as they support Baby A through every moment of his fight.

Help the O'Brien Family in their fight against Neuroblastoma

Our brother Tom, and his wife, Lindsay, recently found out that their newest baby has been diagnosed with Myelomeningocele which is the most severe form of Spina Bifida.  This is a birth defect where the baby's spine and spinal cord do not form or close normally during gestation.  The spinal cord and nerves are exposed due to a hole in the back that does not close as it should.  This hole allows amniotic fluid to enter and cause an unknown amount of permanent damage to the nerves.  The particular area of the back exposed on their baby is in the L to S range of the spine, which control the function of hips, legs, ankles, toes, bladder, and bowels.  <br /><br />They have been sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation and possibly fetal surgery to try and close the hole before birth.  This surgery greatly improves the child's chances of having more normal function and allows the baby to heal while still in the womb. They have been informed that they will have to remain in Philadelphia for the remainder of the pregnancy until delivery sometime in July.  <br /><br />Lindsay will be on strict bed rest and Tom will have to be out of work for a significant amount of time to be there for Lindsay and the baby.  The health insurance that Tom has is very inadequate and they will be forced to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for testing, surgery, hospital stay etc.  On top of the medical bills, they will still have to pay their bills back at home and care for their 3 young children Elsie (4), Ronan (3), and Aurora (1).  As one would imagine, it is going to be extremely difficult for their family to be split up while they do what is best for their unborn baby.<br /><br />As if this battle isn't enough for them, today they found out that their home insurance carrier is going to drop them if they do not replace the roof on the home they recently purchased.  <br /><br />They are not the type of people who look for help from others but the monetary expense of this hospital stay will be overwhelming.  Any amount you are able to contribute would be appreciated beyond words.  Please help us help them so they can keep their focus on what matters the most, which is, the future well being of their child.  If you are unable to contribute monetarily, prayers are appreciated just as much.<br /><br />Thank you,<br /><br />The entire Cronmiller Family

Baby Cronmiller's Fight against Spina Bifida

This campaign is designed to support Gia &amp; Tim Paddock as they care for their baby, Piper. Gia &amp; Tim are both Police Officers, they risk their lives every day to protect &amp; serve their communities. They first met when Gia was a trainee in Canandaigua, they began dating in March 2014, got married in September 2015, and shortly after announced they were expecting a little baby girl. Piper Jae "PJ" was a name Gia and Tim agreed upon, with a due date of August 10, 2016.<br /><br />Around 28 weeks from a routine ultrasound it was discovered that Piper has a heart defect, a severe case of Ebstein’s Anomaly with Pulmonary Regurgitation.  This is a very rare congenial heart disorder occurring in less than 1 per 200,000 live births and less than 1% of all cases of congenial heart disease.  After continuous follow up with different Obgyns, Doctors &amp; Surgeons in Rochester, NY with a poor prognosis, they were directed to Boston’s Childrens’ Hospital. I’m sure by now you’re googling Ebstein’s Anomaly, I know I did. What it really means is that Piper’s heart didn't grow properly and doesn’t work the way it should. This makes Piper's body and brain lack oxygen upon birth because her right ventricle did not form correctly and cannot pump her blood into her pulmonary which supplies the lungs.  Right now Piper gets her oxygen from Gia and all vital nutrients to be stable. This means Piper will need to be in the NICU for an extended period of time and also means that she will undergo open heart surgery to have a somewhat normal life.  Even then, potentially 2 more open heart surgeries within her first year in this big world. It means Gia has to take an absence from her job for an unknown period amount of time to ensure Piper has full time care with all the appointments &amp; surgeries in order for her to survive and thrive.<br /><br />Gia &amp; Tim need to be in Boston so a team of specialists can monitor both Gia &amp; Piper’s condition until it is safe for Piper to make her debut. This will require Gia &amp; Tim to be in Boston starting on July 19th for an unknown amount of time, even up to a year.  As you know Boston is an expensive city.  Tim and Gia have talked with numerous community homes and other houses and have been put on a waiting list along with multiple other families. The average night stay is $179-199 per night. For that reason, we’re asking for any support to help ease the financial burden of traveling to Boston, not working, &amp; being away from the comfort of their own home without the support system of family &amp; friends being nearby.<br /><br /> One final thought, hanging next to the door at their house is a plaque with the prayer below. My heart broke a little when I read this, imaging the fear and worry every time they personally leave the house to go to work, but also the thought of their spouse being in the line of duty. Gia &amp; Tim are so strong, selfless, and spend their days and nights sacrificing for others. My heart broke again when they shared the news of Piper’s condition, but like her parents, she is strong &amp; determined. Let’s help Piper make it home safe, too. <br /><br /> A State Trooper’s Prayer:<br /><br />When I start my tour of duty God, wherever crime may be, as I walk the darkened streets alone, let me be close to Thee.<br /><br />Please give me understanding with both the young &amp; old, let me listen with attention until their story’s told.<br /><br />Let me never make a judgement in a rash or callous way, But let me hold my patience, let each man have his say.<br /><br />Lord, if some dark &amp; dreary night, I must give my life. Prayers for Piper

Lets rally around the Capuano family as they are on this healing journey for their family. Reactive attachment Disorder is not a rare diagnosis but many feel isolated when they are dealing with it day in and day out.  But it can be treated and Harper can and will have healthy and strong relationships. But the process is long and costly. That is where the community comes in. Lets be supporting them with our prayers, words and actions.<br /><br />Here are a list of the expenses: <br />      -Gas/Co-pays for Attachment Therapist in Buffalo - Expecting a full year of weekly appointments, followed by approximately 6-12 months of bi-weekly/monthly appointments.) ($80-100/wk, $350-430/month, $4,200- $5,165/yr)<br /><br />-Neuropsychologist for Alcohol Related Neuropsychological Disorders- Cost and frequency to be determined.<br /><br />-Occupational Therapy/Sensory Processing/Sensory Integration Dysfunction) - $450 for initial evaluation, $350 per session. (Insurance will not cover these appointments.)<br /><br />-Cost to attend Empowered to Connect Conference - $60 plus flight to San Antonio<br /><br />-Cost of home repair (damage to walls, furniture, floors, doors, radiant heating unit, electrical damage, etc.) Total cost yet to be determined.<br /><br />-Safety needs (window/door alarm, video monitor) (approximately $130-150 for all three)<br /><br />-Cost of trained respite helper ($14-24/hr.)<br /><br />-Cost of untrained friends to help (bribes and begging)<br /><br />-Cost to attend a Families by Design Camp (to rebuild healthy bonds between stressed and hurting siblings) $3,600 + travel expenses for whole family to attend.

So many of you have asked what you can do to help. At this time, financial support and prayers are needed the most.  Although the thoughtful gifts were so very much appreciated in the past, at this time the family most needs relief from their financial burdens. <br /><br />This is a message from her mom:<br />"We are reliving the worst nightmare of our lives. I know I have to but I truly don't think I have this in me. Walking these halls bring it all back. We just met with the oncologist and he explained what will be happening. We will be living at Strong for the next month. Avrie will have a lumbar picture, bone marrow spinal and a pick line put in tomorrow AM. She will begin intense chemo tomorrow to try to get her to remission. The following two months will be 2-3 weeks in the hospital and one at home. She will lose her hair again and this time she will understand that.. they will check Addie to see if she is a match for her bone marrow transplant. This with be a total of 5 months. If things don't work here we are going to Philadelphia to look into a new experimental treatment option. Her prognostic rate this time is only 40-50%... I am just numb right now. My heart hurts. Please pray for our little Avrie she has already been through so much!!
