I found my kitten on the side of the road, lost and scared. She was in rough shape, with a broken leg, a busted lip, a flea infestation, and eye infections. It was clear she needed urgent help, so I took her in and started caring for her as best as I could.

<div>My daughter Maggie is in her final stretch of college at WSU, one current semester and one summer semester away from graduating with a degree in Animal Science, and plans to pursue a master’s degree w a wildlife focus.
</div>
<div>Due to difficulty passing a required chemistry course, her FAFSA funding was temporarily suspended for this semester. As a result, she is responsible for full tuition as well as her share of rent, utilities, and basic living expenses, which were previously covered by funding, despite remaining enrolled full-time.
</div>
<div>We share a household, and we are both full-time students. I am a psychology major working on my own independent research focused on addiction and recovery. Maggie is working, but her hours are currently limited. We are already living at a very basic level and have explored available assistance (state aid, EBT, food support); despite this, we do not qualify and already rely on community food resources when we can.
</div>
<div>If Maggie passes this course, completes and pays for this current semester, her funding will be reinstated for the summer, and she will complete her degree.
</div>
<div>The sudden loss of financial aid created a gap we cannot realistically cover alone. This fundraiser is to help with tuition and essential living costs so Maggie can remain enrolled and finish her education.
