<div>Dear Beacon Rising choir and friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A beloved member of our community is experiencing extreme hardship and loss of income and she and her family are at risk of homelessness. Her children are affected in many ways, especially as they’re not currently in school, a place where they thrive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To return them to school and help get our friend back on her feet, <strong>we need to raise at least $10k.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Let’s link arms and pitch in!</strong>
</div>

Bring Beacon Rising Kids Back to School

<div>Together with the Manitou School community and a loving web of Beacon friends, we are raising funds to support Eliot Waterman &amp; his family as he recovers from a severe injury. It is unclear at this point what his recovery will look like, but it is likely to be a long road. The funds we raise here will be given directly to parents Alex &amp; Elisa to help cover medical &amp; travel expenses, loss of income as they attend to Eliot on his healing journey from Maria Fareri Children's Hospital to Blythedale Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as possible future rehabilitative therapies. Thank you for your generosity.

<div>Hi. My name is Louise and I love animals. Right now our beloved family cat, is sick and it breaks my heart. My parents are both teachers, and they already work very hard to make ends meet as my mom is in grad school to become a MFT. A few days ago, our kitty, Pebble, started throwing up a lot. He wouldn't eat or drink anything. As the naughty little stinker he is, we suspected that he might have eaten something that he shouldn't have. We took him to the vet and they gave him IV and nausea pills, costing about $250. When we took him back in the following day they ran tests and gave him more nutrients, totaling at least $1,000. He will end up needing surgery costing anywhere from $7,000 to 10,000. Me and my brother have been crying ever since my parents tried to bring up that we may not be able to get the necessary surgery and we all can't imagine living in a world without him. He's quite young, only 4 years old, and such a sweetheart. He loves snuggling with his sister Rhubarb and chasing toys around the house. Every night he sleeps on my bed with me, warming my feet from the end of the bed. He is such a little lover and snuggler. He lets us hold him in our arms like a little baby, and he greets us at the door; like a dog. We cannot express how much Pebble means to us, and how much we want our baby back. Anything helps, we will take all we can get, because as I'm sure many of you know, medical care is expensive. Me and my brother have already put all of our savings towards his surgery and plan to hold bake sales to try and pay for it as much as we can, but it isn’t enough. That’s why I’m asking you to help us out. I’m willing to work as hard as I can for one reason: I love my little Snugglebug. Thank you for your time and support, love to all of you &lt;3.

Join Louise in Saving Pebble's Life

<div>Hello, everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our dear friend Shane could use some rallying support right now. While she is in the middle of battling a kidney stone, her sweet dog Brixx is battling a chicken bone. Unfortunately, he has been unable to eat for days now due to the gastric trauma of said bone, has had thousands of dollars in scans and tests, and is on medication to hopefully encourage this boy to eat. However, nothing seems to be working so more tests and scans are on their way with further and unknown expenses to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shane is the most generous person I know and Brixx is the kindest soul out there. My hope is to at least ease the financial stress so that this pair can focus all their energy on healing instead. If you’re able to donate, please do. If not, please share far and wide!
