Now, her cancer has spread further, including to her lymph nodes and liver. Bernadette has shared that doctors have told her she may have only a year left to live. There's a special treatment/gene therapy that could offer her another chance. The estimated cost could range from $150,000 to $400,000, depending on her treatment plan. Kahlia and her mother are doing everything they can just to survive. Every day, they spend up to 15 hours collecting cans and recyclable materials, often working until very late at night 10/11pm just to earn one to three dollars in total! Despite working this hard, they recently went three days without eating because they simply could not afford food. When I first met with them in the video they were going in 3 days without food or showering. Their living conditions are incredibly difficult. Kahlia and her mother do not have a real home they live in a small shack built from recycled materials and whatever supplies they have been able to find. Kahlia is also currently unable to attend school because her family cannot afford the school fees. Instead of being able to focus on her education and childhood, she spends her days alongside her mother trying to help their family survive. They are struggling tremendously, but they still have hope for a better future. Their dream is to open a small shop of their own so they can earn a stable income, have food every day, return Kahlia to school, and no longer have to spend 15 hours a day searching for recycling just to survive. Luz is in danger of permanently losing the ability to use her legs because of cancer. Jazzy has been battling Neuroblastoma cancer for over 7 years. After years of treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, pain, and setbacks, her family is now desperately searching for the next option that could help save her life. Jazzy’s cancer has now spread throughout her body, including her spine, arms, and brain. In the past two months alone, she has endured three major brain surgeries, had three tumors removed from her head, and doctors have recently found new bumps appearing across her body. She is also currently relearning how to walk. They have spent every last penny they have to the point they are currently homeless. Right now, Jazzy is running out of options, and her family is searching for clinical trials and specialized treatments that may give her another chance. For the last 8 years, a little boy named Ian has been fighting an aggressive form of bone cancer. Cancer has already taken so much from him. Ian has lost one of his legs. His body has endured years of pain, treatments, fear, and uncertainty. But what makes his story even more heartbreaking is that ever since Ian was diagnosed, his family lost everything. For the last 7 years, Ian and his dad have been homeless — sleeping in their car, trying to survive while fighting for Ian’s life. No child battling cancer should have to sleep in a car. No father should have to choose between food, shelter, transportation, and life-saving medical care for his son. Today, Ian’s situation has become extremely urgent. His cancer is spreading fast, and he now needs emergency surgeries on his lungs and left leg to try to save his life — and potentially save his remaining leg. Just one year ago, J'Naii and her family lost everything when their home was destroyed in the Eaton Fires. The fire took their house, their belongings, and the stability they had worked so hard to build. They were forced to start over from nothing. In order to survive, the family even had to sell their car, sacrificing one of the few things they had left just to get by. But while they were still trying to rebuild their lives, another unimaginable tragedy struck. J'Naii was diagnosed with brain cancer. For the past year, J'Naii has been courageously battling this devastating disease. Between hospital visits, treatments, and constant medical care, the financial burden has become overwhelming for the family. Medical bills continue to pile up faster than they can manage, and the reality they are facing today is heartbreaking. The family is now three months behind on rent and facing eviction, putting them at serious risk of becoming homeless while J'Naii is still fighting for her life. With gratitude, Miracles for Humanity Foundation – Campaign Disclosure How Your Gift Helps: Miracles for Humanity Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are voluntary and subject to standard third-party transaction and processing fees. A portion of all campaign donations supports the essential programmatic, fundraising, and administrative work required to make these life-changing efforts possible. Crucially, these funds secure the logistical planning and field deployments required to safely enter high-risk, poverty-driven communities to find these children (or adults), as well as the exhaustive behind-the-scenes work—including identifying and vetting families in need, communicating with medical providers, family outreach, case management, endless coordination calls, and strict regulatory and receipt tracking—needed to bring their stories to light. These resources are essential to our ability to find families who may otherwise go unseen, personally understand their needs, bring their stories to a wider community, raise awareness and support, and ultimately provide meaningful assistance that can change their lives. To sustain these vital operations, resources also cover storytelling and content production, legal compliance, ongoing program expenses, and the necessary compensation and salaries of the dedicated personnel who manage these cases. All featured family stories, medical details, and media are shared with explicit, documented parental or guardian consent. Campaign Flexibility, Surplus Funds, & Governance: Campaign funds primarily support the featured family. However, to comply with IRS regulations, Miracles for Humanity Foundation retains ultimate discretion, control, and final authority over the administration and allocation of all contributed funds; as such, donations are final and non-refundable. These resources may also help support other children and families battling cancer through the Foundation’s ongoing charitable programs, including immediate relief grants and other forms of assistance. If the featured family’s needs are fully met, exceed expectations, change, or cannot be funded as originally anticipated, remaining or surplus funds will be utilized for other Foundation programs and charitable purposes entirely consistent with the Foundation’s mission. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law, though the Foundation provides no guarantee regarding specific medical treatments or health outcomes. Fund Administration & Assistance Delivery: The Foundation administers campaign funds and determines the amount, timing, and form of assistance based on verified needs and available funding, consistent with the charitable purposes described here, applicable donor restrictions, and existing grant commitments. Assistance may be provided in stages, through direct payments to approved healthcare or utility providers, or through goods and services rather than entirely as cash payments to the family.
