<div>She was diagnosed November 1st, 2023, just weeks after her 46th birthday when she discovered a lump in her left breast. I never thought we’d be going through a journey like this one so soon. She has always been the fun cool mom to not just me but everyone around her. Growing up, the neighborhood kids all called her ‘Auntie Erica’ because she treated every kid like they were hers. She’d host cookouts and outdoor activities during the summer for the whole community. I learned my sense of community and humility from her. I inherited so much power and strength from her that it pains me to not see her at her fullest vibrant self. She has been incredibly strong and positive throughout this entire process and refuses to let this illness dim her light or stop her from living her life.

Since most of our extended family live out of state, it has been just my parents, siblings, and I for a long time. <div>Stacy was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night at 8 months pregnant after preterm labor symptoms turned to bleeding. Unfortunately, she had to deliver our baby girl Violet after a rare complication called HELLP syndrome left both of them in distress. Violet was born on Monday the sixth of February at 10:26 am weighing 4 pounds, 11 ounces, 18 inches long. She’s absolutely perfect and would have been coming home with us but died as a result of a placental abruption, passing away just shortly before delivery. As devastating as this is for our entire family, we are still in a scary place. Stacy is sick. She lost significant blood volume and is suffering from a rare blood clotting complication. She currently undergoing blood transfusions, just had an MRI and is very sick. Our whole family is totally devastated and afraid.

I am reaching out to everyone for your support to help the Wilson family.  Margie relocated from Colorado over to River Falls Wisconsin with her husband Paul and two sons, Cody (19) and Tyler (17). They have now lived in River Falls, Wisconsin for the past 13 years and have made such a huge impact here.  Although missing  her Colorado mountains and family, she has always put everything she has into her family, job, and friends. If your a lucky one, you had the chance to witness the most memorable laughter you have ever heard.<br /><br />Margie was diagnosed with COPD over a year ago. She found herself needing ongoing oxygen, doctor appointments and medications that have a high cost even with insurance. The Wilson's received the news of End Stage COPD recently and things moved and still moving fast.  The family decided to receive Hospice care at home.  Adding to difficult decisions they are faced with, the pandemic still rolls on and the choice of home care hospice is the best decision for them in order for Margie to see, touch and hear her boys and her husband. Margie can rest better knowing her boys are right there. <br /><br />As many know, Margie is a private person and dealing well with her friends asking for help.  Margie understands they need help with medical, oxygen, medications, hospice, home nurses, and the ongoing life bills . Margie and Paul's income has always both been needed and now Margie is completely out of work.  Paul is needed at home with Margie and the boys but also needed at work to provide for them. Paul is also under a great deal of stress to be able to provide and be at home. <br /><br />Margie is unable to spend time with everyone she loves and it's been very difficult for her. If you know Margie, you know that she runs on pure heart. She will love you and your children just as much or even more. I had the greatest honor to meet her 13 years ago inside the Wildcat hockey rink where our boys became best friends together and our friendship took off from there. We were both new at this hockey mom thing but we ran hard with it but it left hundreds of beautiful memories between our families. I found this very difficult to write because our friendship between our families run so deep that I can't even put into words.  Her smile and laugh record in my mind like it's on replay. Her husbands huge laughter with his glasses he never removes. Her boys beautiful dark eyes with their great smiles.  That's what pushes me to get them the help they need right now. <br /><br />Please help this family in the time they need it most. My goal and hope is for Margie is to spend her time that remains with her family and not to worry about financial  stress. <br /><br />We all appreciate and whole hearted love everyone of you who is supporting this family.  It's very difficult for some people to even ask for help and the Wilson's are one of them. Scott Riz Rizzo Covid Relief Effort

As some of you have probably heard, our Brooksie got into a pretty bad scooter accident in September when a car merged into her lane without looking and then drove away. In true Kerrie fashion, she took the majority of the damage. <br /><br />An ER visit, an X-Ray, an MRI and one visit to a super fancy football knee Dr later and the news is definitely overwhelming. She has a torn ACL, MCL, LCL and a torn meniscus as well as an impact fracture. This means surgery and a LOT of PT. Her surgery is scheduled at the end of this month and the Dr. expects she won't be able to put any pressure on it for about two months and doesn't expect a full recovery for up to nine months. To say this is a life changing event for our constantly moving independent friend is an understatement, at least for the next nine months.<br /><br />This is where we need to ask you all for a little help if you can. She finally got MNcare figured out so that will help on the medical side, but with her being out of work for the foreseeable future any savings we had will dry up pretty quickly. My hope is that with the money we raise will cover things like a ramp so she can get in and out of the house (we have stairs at both entrances), setting up a recovery room for her (our room was is in the attic and that's not happening), any rent and bills that I can't and also, with any luck, be able to set her up with a little savings for things she was looking forward to before all this happened. <br /><br />Thank you all so much. I will be posting updates as things progress. Also, if you have been really missing some Kerrie time in your life now is the perfect time to get ahold of her cause she can't get away now. Whoopsie Brooksie Relief Fund

<p>Recently, Carl Nowlin (Third Grade Teacher at Wilshire Park) was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It's a degenerative disease that slowly prevents the muscles from responding to voluntary movements. Carl's legs are quite affected now, and his hands and fingers are starting to lose some dexterity. A scooter is being used by Carl while he teaches, as it is more and more difficult for him to walk.<br /><br /> Many people in our small community have asked, “What can I do to help?” In response, a GoFundMe account has been created to support Carl, his wife, Mauren, and their two small children, Alex and Lizzy. <br /><br /> The Nowlin family will use the fund in ways to make their lives a bit easier. Examples of this may include: modifications to their house to provide more accessibility, devices to help him with mobility, and possibly technology that will assist Carl in his home. Mauren, Carl's wife, will be the sole beneficiary of the funds collected to be able to make the changes and  adaptations needed to make life easier for the family. <br /><br /> Thank you in advance for helping the Nowlin family adjust during this time.
