<div>Hi. My name is Joy. My organisation is called Fluoride Free Alliance UK. We're a non-profit which represents the wishes of highly concerned people who are against the current and threatened compulsory medication of their drinking water.

<div>Whilst states like Florida and Utah in America have recently banned fluoridation completely in drinking water, the UK Government is determined to increase the imposition of fluoridation in more counties around England.

<div>I'm fundraising to pay for initial legal costs. Our initial action is termed a Group Challenge and we are challenging the UK Government over their unreasonable policy of adding a developmental neurotoxin to treated water in the mistaken belief that it reduces dental decay.

<div>We have retained a Barrister under the Direct Access scheme and she is in the process of writing a Letter Before Claim which will be sent to the Government's Solicitors' Department shortly. We have been busy attracting volunteer claimants whose names will be appended to the Letter. Our initial target for crowdfunding will pay for this stage of the legal action.

<div>Should the Government's Solicitors fail to agree to our legal arguments, we will need to take the issue to a court of law where we will be asking the Court to make a ruling that Water Fluoridation is a practice which is a compulsory medicinal intervention which violates our human rights. This part of our action will be expensive and we will need further donations to cover court costs and possible adverse costs should the judgement go against us.

<div>We are presenting evidence that there is no justification in making us drink medicinal water especially since the case has been proven in the USA in September 2024 that swallowed fluoride at the level added to US drinking water reduces foetal and infant intelligence by causing permanent brain damage. This was a legal ruling which has caused the States of Utah and Florida to legislate against the addition of non-water-treatment chemicals to drinking water. Also established in the US and in the UK are the findings that when fluoride is added to drinking water, the reduction in dental decay is insignificant, making the policy money-wasting. Furthermore, dental fluorosis which is caused by swallowing fluoride, is on the increase in the fluoridated areas of the USA and England.

<div>Our claim that fluoridated water is a medicine can be proven quite easily: there are three legal precedents in Scotland, New Zealand and Canada where the court ruled that fluoride added to treated drinking water is a medicine. Once that is legally established in an English court of law, precedents on all the other laws which we have identified as supporting our case will further strengthen our call for Water Fluoridation to cease in the UK.

<div>I have spent over 20 years trying to persuade local authorities and successive Governments to stop this outdated practice. Up to 2024, all of our attempts have been successful at a local level but the road block has always been at Central Government level.  And now, the UK Government is responsible for making the final decision, so  taking the Government to court is the one strategy left which has to work because all other approaches have failed.

<div>It is negligent for Governments to deliberately order the addition of toxins to drinking water. The fluoridating acid, hexafluorosilicic acid, is imported industrial hazardous waste and is the least expensive way of adding fluoride to drinking water. According to <em>BSEN 12175:2022</em>, several other toxins are added: heavy metals, arsenic, hydrofluoric acid etc. in order to add the non-nutrient, fluoride, to treated water. Most of it eventually ends up in our rivers and on our fields or is in fluoridated water leaked from pipes.

<div>Fortunately, the practice is now being phased out in the USA and this will further strengthen our call for fluoridation to cease in the UK.

<div>We've put up with this situation for far too long. Enough is enough. The practice has to stop. Please donate generously in order to force the Government to stop this discredited practice and to allow us all to drink health-enhancing water once more.
