<div>We are Dave and Tori Schoonover, Brad and Laura are two of our best friends. As most of you know, <strong>Brad has recently suffered an anoxic brain injury after he stopped breathing while in anaphylactic shock.</strong> Currently, Brad is in CVICU at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, New York. We are waiting for him to be completely stable before he can be transferred to a neurological rehabilitation facility where he will have a long and hard road ahead of him. Brad will be working with a team of cardiologists, neurologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.

<div>Brad has been a police officer for BPD for over 20 years. He has been an advocate for others, a helping hand to all, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. He is there in a moment's notice if you need him and he has put his life on the line for you and yours every single day without hesitation.

<div>It is now time we as a community show up for Brad, Laura, and their kids, Kiley, Brayden, and Klaira.

Stand with Brad: Aid for Medical and Family Needs

<div>One of the most loved family is experiencing an unimaginable tragedy. My dearest friend and her first born son were killed in a car accident traveling home from college orientation. Tiffany Ferrell has the largest heart and has always been there for everyone. She was full of life and could make anyone smile and laugh. She had so much love to give. Her son Colin was the most likeable and respectful person you would ever meet. He would be anyone's friend and always willing to lend a helping hand. We are asking to help this hurting family since all the funeral arrangements will be doubled. We are asking for prayers for her husband Dan, son Landon, and daughter Olivia. Thank you in advance for all of your support, prayers, and love.

Support for Ferrell Family After Tragic Loss

<div><strong>Jimmy Taylor, aka Tayls, never hesitates to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone who needs it</strong>, everything from coaching to labor to a shoulder for support. The Taylor family has been smacked with another challenge and it's time for our village to come together and help in any way we can.

<div>To summarize what has happened, Jimmy was experiencing some discomfort for several days and finally, after Candice putting her foot down, went to get checked out. At that time it was found that he was in Afib and his blood pressure was dangerously low. In order to perform more specialized testing, he had to be intubated and put on a ventilator to keep him calm and still for the tests. The initial tests revealed his heart was only performing a quarter of what it should be. A balloon was placed to attempt to provide support to his heart but even this only brought his heart to approximately 55% capacity. The medical staff here in Johnson City determined that he needed a more specialized hospital to care for him so he was life flighted by helicopter to Rochester, NY and remains there. Our friend is currently in heart failure and because of this, he now has kidney and liver damage. Jimmy is currently being treated for infections and pneumonia and is still on the ventilator to allow him to remain calm and to keep his agitation down. His arteries remain good with no blockages so it's a possibility that he may have endured an infection of some kind that has affected his heart. He does respond to commands which is EXCELLENT news. The next plan of attack is to discuss another procedure called The Impella 5.5. It is an implanted heart pump that should support his heart 100%.

<div><strong>The Taylor family has endured enough obstacles to last a lifetime but with our help, we can take some of the stress off by contributing any amount to assist with the everyday costs that will pile up.</strong> There is no timeline of when Jimmy will be able to work again. Candice is currently staying in Rochester and has her sisters as her support system right now.

<div>Over a year ago, Alyssa Anthony began experiencing symptoms of a neurological disorder. After extensive testing and uncertainty, she was diagnosed early last year with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)—a rare, progressive, and terminal neurodegenerative disease. ALS gradually impacts the ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe.
