<div>I wanted to share my journey in my fight against Kidney Cancer that I began in September of 2024. Support and come along with me as I walk this Journey with Christ (<em>Psalm c100 v4-5</em>)

<div>I have been a member of my church, Christ Fellowship, serving in various areas of ministry for more than 25 years, and I often participate in community outreach in general and with my employer.
</div>

<div>I have lived in Texas most of my life, raising four children, of which my youngest son and his family live with me in the Houston area.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About a year ago, I started having some pain and experiencing kidney stones. After several months, when symptoms continued, I went to a doctor who ordered a scan, which determined I had a large mass on my left kidney.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was sent to see a urologist, and in September of this year,<strong><em> I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma and would require that my left kidney and all of the associated tissue and lymph nodes around it would have to be removed.</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Surgery is set for December 10th.</strong>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of the extent of surgery and time required for recovery, this would leave me out of work for 2 to 3 months, as long as there are no complications.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although my son lives with me with his wife and three children, I am the primary financial contributor for the household. Being out of work for 2 to 3 months with minimal short-term disability income will be financially devastating for my family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have already utilized all my savings and other resources on insurance co-pays and deductibles, just to get to the point where we can attempt the surgery with the associated costs of the procedure and all aftercare.
</div>

<div>I have always wanted to be a giver in situations like this. Now, <strong>I'm trusting God to provide as I walk into the next steps that must be taken, by touching hearts of those who hear this story.</strong>

Stand with Sue in Her Battle with Kidney Cancer

<strong>In your lifetime, if you are incredibly lucky, there is ONE teacher, ONE educator, ONE person who recognizes YOUR GIFT, reaches into your SOUL &amp; IMPACTS your life forever!<br /><br />Many classes of children past and present had a teacher like that in Anton Bucher.<br /><br />Mr. Bucher is a mentor, friend, big brother and co-parent for his students and their families. He and his wife Christie have selflessly given their time, energy, love, encouragement &amp; gifts to everyone they meet.<br /><br />The Buchers have made their friends and family part of their journey with the Lord and the journey in the process of adopting their beautiful children, Quint &amp; Keira. <br /><br />Its our turn to show the love, energy, time, gift and financial support for the Buchers. During the last directed play at Lone Star High School, Anton experienced some health issues that led him to seek medical attention. After all the tests, diagnostics and long talks with God, Anton &amp; Christie were given a very serious diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a very aggressive form of Leukemia. <br /><br />It is so aggressive that immediately after receiving the diagnosis, Anton was transferred to another hospital to begin a very aggressive chemo regime. His initial treatment protocol is no less than 30 days...that's just the beginning.<br /><br />While Anton has good insurance through Frisco Independent School District, the costs associated with his diagnosis and treatment protocol FAR exceed  what the insurance will cover. <br /><br />Thankfully, many MANY people have expressed a desire to help. All of the money collected via this GoFundMe page goes directly to the Buchers to help pay for the bills they cannot take care of themselves or with the help of their family.<br /><br />Anton is in the hospital NOW. The charges have already begun to pile up. He needs us!<br /><br />I am humbly asking you to help us raise money for  Anton, Christie and their beautiful kids.
