The Robert Johnson Blues Project consists of three steps to bring the Robert Johnson very compelling  that I wrote in 2011 for an off Broadway Play now underway with Producer Lacy Darryl Philips in NYC. It has been My Mission and Journey to research RJ in depth that began with 3 Music fundraising campaigns as being invited as Lead Singer with ICON Musicians and their Bands! First stop in Macon GA., for the Little Richard House Dedication performance 3/8/19 to SLC with the Blues Foundation out of Memphis for the Guitar Shorty concert and with Guitar Shorty! I always travel by Amtrak, stay in Hostels and several times stayed in Homeless Men’s Shelters that saved Me money to travel extensively crisscrossing the US 4x West Coast to East coast! But, it was at the Amtrak Station in NOLA where I met Terry Marshall (UK) Jazz Saxophonist who is the Founder of Marshal Amp! I had been to Hazlehurst Ms., where We had a two hour conversation about RJ and He told Me to bring the Project to the 100+M Blues Lovers in Europe, Canada and the US to a Worldwide distribution to the Music and Theatrical Marketplace. I thought his recommendation for the Project. Since, had written Story the “King of the Blues” Story had already been submitted to Lacy in NYC we collaborated to develop the Screen Play for rewrites to the Treatment and the Pitch deck to submit to Executive Producer’s and Investors in Films that require a NDA and upon request those that are interested can be sent from Lacy to those that want to take an Interest in the RJ Product! Step 2 is to re-record all of the Original Bluesman, RJ, all 41 Songs he recorded during the Great Depression to Escape Slavery a 10-piece band and a Small Orchestra with first Distribution at $50 followed by a package deal that contains the 2CD Album, Vinyl Pressed Record and a DVD Blu-ray (reference Hacksaw Ridge that generated $78M) with the sales price at $250! From a Marketing perspective, I have driven by using the Soundtrack alone, prior to the release of the Motion Picture Nationally and Internationally to ensure that the Blues Lovers attend the Cineplex’s prior to any box ticket sales to incentivize any Investor involved to get a ROI. So, the $5k gift will allow Me to do several things: Pitch to Stage 32 for financing, shoot trailers with a 3 man Production Crew, and for additional funding submit to Kickstarter, Indie GoGo and Substack and upon application to the Washington Film Works Commission for an additional $1M to go into preproduction and and employment for Musicians, A-List Actors 1 to 3, Actor/Performer’s with Diverse Incentives, Dancers, IIATSE Union members with Pension, Health and Welfare benefits and Collective Bargaining Rights! When you consider the sales tax revenues, one could say that this is Economic Development through Motion Picture’s and a Win, Win for all parties involved in this Robert Johnson Blues Project and fund there more projects: Comedy Sit Com, Jook joint scene for the Choreography by Lacy to teach the Dancers to dance the dances during the Great Depression at Ray Gibson’s Caballeros Club, Comedy Sitcom, site location Tacoma and a Faith-based Film on the Yakama Reservation by donating to this Link or send a connection request to My LinkedIn Network that contains my email address found in My Profile to Zelle to My NFCU checking account!
