 My name is Ariyah Isaac, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend and sister, Tawanna L. Davis; her husband, Nicholas DeSandro III; and their seven children.

 I met Tawanna and her family while traveling abroad in 2015. We have remained close ever since, and I love her and her family deeply. I am asking for your help as they work through an urgent documentation process and seek a safe path home to the United States.

 Nicholas is a veteran who served in the United States military and National Guard during the Bush administration. He and Tawanna are the parents of three sons and four daughters, and their family has lived abroad since 2013. During that time, they have taught children across several parts of the world and have worked to establish a Kingdom-centered school where children can learn the foundational truths of the Word of God from home.

 On August 7, their 14-year-old son, Malachi, was struck by a car and taken to the hospital. Nicholas rushed to his aid, but Tawanna was then unable to contact either of them or determine their whereabouts for two days. She later learned that they were being detained because of expired visa and passport documentation.

 By the grace of God, the entire family has now been reunited and has received assistance from the U.S. Embassy. However, their emergency is not over.
</div>

 Two of Tawanna and Nicholas’s children were born at home and require DNA testing to establish the necessary family relationship for their U.S. documentation. Because the testing must be processed through an approved U.S. laboratory, Tawanna has been told that the process may take approximately two months.

 During this waiting period, the family of nine urgently needs access to adequate food, clean drinking water, hygiene supplies, and other basic necessities. Their access to phones is also extremely limited, making it difficult for them to communicate with loved ones and coordinate assistance.

<div>
 Tawanna reports that Nicholas has not received medical care and that Malachi received treatment only once before the family reached the Embassy. She has also reported that family members have experienced dehydration because of limited water and poor ventilation. Their immediate priority is to remain together, complete the required documentation, and safely return to the United States.

 The family has been informed that repatriation loans may be processed after the children’s documentation is completed. However, they were also told that the cost of returning the entire family may exceed the available budget. For that reason, we are raising enough to cover the full cost of one-way travel for all nine family members if necessary, while also providing for their essential needs during the documentation process.

 How the Funds Will Be Used

 Our initial fundraising goal is $8,500, focused on the family’s most urgent needs:

 * $6,500 — Emergency one-way airfare to the United States for the family of nine

 * $500 — Essential baggage and local transportation

 * $500 — GoFundMe transaction fees and unforeseen emergency expenses

 These amounts are planning estimates because final travel costs have not yet been confirmed.

 If government assistance covers more of the airfare than anticipated, remaining donations will be used only for the family’s immediate necessities, travel expenses, and essential needs as they return to the United States. We will update donors as reliable information becomes available.

Help Tawanna’s Family Return Home Safely

<div>My name is Niambi. My father, Gregory McDonald, fell ill suddenly and unexpectedly on September 24, 2024 from a massive hemorrhagic stroke. Despite him having to face immediate, frightening changes such as one-sided paralysis, impaired speech and partial loss of vision, his initial state appeared to be promising of some recovery with time in the ICU and eventually extensive rehabilitation. My dad's condition however took a turn for the worst after his first few days in the ICU where he experienced two more strokes and underwent emergency brain surgery. He fell into a coma until his untimely passing just 14 days after his initial stroke.

<div>No amount of prayer, daily visits to the hospital, or meetings with doctors and neuro specialists spared my father of his life. I could have never faced the shock and pain of losing the last of my immediate family like this without the direct support of extended family, close friends of my dad's and my own, and love from both near and far.

<div>As my parents only living child and having already lost my mother (his wife and love of 40 years) and my grandmother (his adoring mother) back-to-back just three years ago, I am left with an overwhelming amount of clean-up and affairs to tend to, without time to really process any of this.
</div>

<div>I hesitated to create yet another Go Fund Me after creating one in 2021 for my mother. But I am learning in life the importance of not being afraid to ask for help. It is a slow process for me, but losing my dad so suddenly is changing me. I love him beyond this world.
</div>

<div>Stephen Hoston was gunned down while holding a baby in his arms Tuesday March 15, 2022. He was walking on Hawthrone Street in the Frankford section area located in Philadelphia, with his girlfriend along with 2 younger children and infant baby. According to the girlfriend, the gunman was seen walking by them where Stephen Hoston III was struck from behind and shot and killed. He was shot in the leg, buttocks, neck, left cheek and that bullet exited out his head. Thankfully the baby and the children was unharmed and not hurt. This was not a random act, he was definitely targeted. Due to the high crime rate in the Philadelphia area the Police Department have been overwhelmed with many unsolved case. Stephen Hoston can not and will not go on as a cold case. We will like to honor his name and remember him as a hero. This has impacted so people as we are all experiencing such a tragic lost. Many people are calling him a hero, but to us he was a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend to many. He was also the guy who would help anybody in the neighborhood no matter what time of day it was. Stephen will help his neighbors carry groceries in their home, he would do store runs, and was always a phone call away for others. Even though he never had a chance to have any kids of his own, he played a major role in his nieces (12, 10 and 2yrs old) and nephew(15yrs old) lives. Stephen Hoston grew up to be a honorable respectable man, but he was still a big baby to his mother aka mommy lol. There are still many questions that has been unanswered and without the police help unfortunately we have to do it on our own. My brother did have life insurance and we was able to come up with the reward money , but we still need help! Please help the family keep Stephen Hoston III name alive as we will not and can not allow him to go on as a cold case. We greatly appreciate a small donation as that goes a long way.
