<div>Our community is heartbroken over the unimaginable loss of Fred, a beloved 13-year-old who was taken from this world far too soon. No family should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child, and the DeLana family is now facing a grief that words cannot fully express. During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together to support them with the unexpected financial burdens that follow such a tragic loss, as well as giving the family the time and space they need to grieve.

Support for the DeLana Family

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Reuben. He was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed. He touched the lives of so many, and it’s our turn to give back to his family in their time of need. We are raising money to help cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Reuben’s family as this passing was completely unexpected.

Passing of Reuben Irizarry

On Monday May 11, 2015, Jada Ivory lost her life while playing at Linden Park in Naugatuck.  Jada was playing by the Naugatuck River and lost her balance and fell in.  Naugatuck Police, Fire and many surrounding agencies responded to try to locate Jada.  She was found approximately 90 minutes after going into the water.  Despite CPR efforts Jada did not survive.  <br /> <br />Jada was 12 years old.<br /><br />This fund is being set up by Naugatuck Police Personel to help the family with burial expenses.  Please help if you can.  <br /><br />Any questions contact Det.
