<div>If you know my daughter, Lauren, you know how much Jax means to her. He isn’t just her dog, he’s her world. He has been by her side through everything, her constant companion, her comfort, her best friend. They are truly inseparable.

<div>Recently, they faced a terrifying and unexpected crisis. While Lauren was traveling, Jax became very sick. After showing concerning symptoms, it was discovered that he had swallowed part of a toy, causing a life-threatening blockage. Lauren immediately booked the next flight home.

<div>While she was in the air, Jax was undergoing emergency surgery.
</div>
<div>The situation was far worse than we could have imagined. The vet found that a significant portion of his stomach and intestines had become necrotic and needed to be removed. His organs had to be carefully realigned, and the odds were uncertain. He only had a 50/50 chance of surviving.

<div>But Jax is a fighter, and Lauren held on to her faith.

<div>He made it through a critical 24 hours. And after 5 long, emotional days in the hospital, Jax was finally able to come home.

<div>Now begins the long road to recovery.

<div>While Jax is improving, he is still at risk as his body heals, and he will need continued care, monitoring, and follow-up treatment. Along with the emotional toll, Lauren is now facing overwhelming medical expenses from the emergency surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing care. Costs no one could have prepared for.

Honoring My Dad: Help Us Lay Him to Rest

<div>My sister Renee has always been the most supportive sister, friend, and daughter, and now she needs our help. Her best friend, <strong>Moose, has been diagnosed with kidney disease</strong>. She has perked up with IV fluids and is responding well to treatment; however, her stomach is inflamed and may need surgery. <strong>The bills are overwhelming as she has been in an emergency clinic for two days.</strong> My sister has gone above and beyond for us all, and I am just asking to help ease the pain of this circumstance. A little support for someone we know would take the shirt off her back for any one of us!

<div>My heart breaks as I write this, but I’ve decided to create a go-fund-me to help support my family as we navigate a difficult hospitalization for my father.

<div>During the early morning hours of Saturday, September 28th, my dad tragically fell down a flight of stairs at home. The damage sustained has been extensive, including: a traumatic brain injury, fractured skull, fractured C3 vertebrae, facial and rib fractures. We felt hopeful when he arrived to the ER and was able to say his name, the date, and “I love you.” Unfortunately, two days into his hospitalization, dad stopped breathing (for reasons unclear) and went into cardiac arrest. He is now in a coma and showing signs of further brain injury, due to a lack of oxygen during these event(s). We are devastated and trying to make it through each day. My father’s mother (our grandma) passed just recently in July; he was hard at work handling her estate and things left behind.

<div>If you’ve been lucky enough to know him, you know my dad is a wonderful man with a soft and sensitive heart. He’s worked so hard to make our lives better and all we want is to make sure he’s taken care of in return. *I understand the world is a busy and trying place for all of us right now, but any little bit helps. <div>Exalt is a non-profit that acts as a supporting parachute for youth ages 15-19 who've been involved in the criminal justice system. These young adults have lived through difficult childhoods, mental and physical abuse, poverty, bullying, and poor education systems.

<div>Exalts education and internship program lifts up at-risk kids and shows them they are worthy of happiness and deserve good things in their lives. The program helps them through structured classes for tangible skill development, individualized support to navigate the education and justice systems, placement in paid internships, and an alumni network of resources that equips youth with the tools and experience to avoid further criminal justice system involvement.
