<div><strong>I was recently diagnosed with a rare blood cancer known as T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia.</strong> Less than 1000 people a year are diagnosed. My challenging journey with this disease is just starting. While optimistic, I find myself scared of losing so much.

<div>I have been fortunate in so many ways throughout my life, surrounded by friends and family. I am thankful for my wife and two wonderful children, as well as having an incredible career in aerospace. I am truly blessed.

<div>Throughout all of these blessings, I have also endured countless health challenges, which include living with Crohn's Disease. Life has had many uncertainties, which include timing. I don't know how much time I will have, but there is so much left to do. So many things not said, and so much more to experience.

<div><strong>Please find it in your heart to help me navigate the many expected expenses around my battle with cancer, as well as helping me pay for a nice family and friends gathering to celebrate life together.</strong>

Support Our Family's Cancer Battle

<div>I've never asked for help before, so honestly, I'm not sure where to begin. This life has not been easy, and I've dealt with the cards I've been dealt, and I've always been strong and resilient, until now. <strong>My fur baby, Benji, is in trouble.</strong> My husband and I spent the night in the ER with him and found out that he has IVDD, otherwise known as a herniated disc that is pressing on his spinal cord, making it difficult for him to walk. This will require surgery by a skilled specialist to correct. We were told that this surgery has a 96% chance of recovery, but the surgery is going to cost thousands of dollars that we don't have. Tufts Vet Hospital has quoted $13,000 for this surgery for our Benji. (Includes anesthesia, surgery and hospitalization).

<div><strong>I don't know how to say this, but we need help.</strong> My fur baby is only 5 years old, and to say he is the light of my life is an understatement. I can deal with the fact that I have a chronic illness (SLE), and I can even deal with the fact that my husband and I do not have human children in the deck of cards we were dealt, but I can't deal with giving up on my baby, or seeing him in pain.

Surgery for Benji: A Heartfelt Plea

Update:<br />Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we remember Ezra, who has now passed on to heaven. He is our little angel, watching over us with love and light. Though his time with us was brief, the joy he brought into our lives will forever remain. I’m reaching out to share that I’m fundraising for my brother Skyler, his baby Ezra (my nephew), and his girlfriend Estephanie. Ezra was born a month early on Monday, September 2nd, at 5:24 PM. Shortly after his birth, he was taken to the NICU because his lungs and heart were not functioning correctly and his blood was not receiving enough oxygen. Skyler was hopeful when he was told that the next day things would improve, and he would finally be able to hold his baby for the first time—Ezra just needed a little extra help.

Tragically, things took a turn for the worse. The oxygen and machines that were supporting him could no longer stabilize his vitals. Last night, Ezra was transferred by helicopter to Boston Children’s Hospital for immediate medical treatment. The team there is doing everything in their power to determine the cause of his condition and why his lungs and heart are not functioning as they should.

Ezra has been placed on an ECMO machine to oxygenate his blood, which is a form of life support. However, an CT-scan revealed bleeding in his brain, and in order to continue using the ECMO, he needs to be on blood thinners, which complicates his treatment. Additionally, the doctors had to perform another procedure due to elevated ammonia levels in his blood.

The medical team at Boston Children’s Hospital is very concerned and is actively working with specialists to explore whether this may be a genetic issue. Our family’s hearts are breaking right now; no one ever prepares for or expects such a tragedy.

Waking up to the news of their sudden passing has left us all devastated, struggling to comprehend how we will move forward without them.

<div>Tom will be fondly remembered as an extraordinary father, husband, son, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew and friend. Known for his genuinely kind nature and infectious laughter, Tom was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His deep love for his family, especially his wife Christel, and son Tommy, was evident in every moment they shared.

<div>Patrick will always be cherished as a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson, friend and boyfriend. A dedicated carpenter and successful business owner of a local construction company, Patrick was admired for his meticulous work and cheerful personality. His playful spirit, filled with dancing, jokes, and laughter, brought joy to everyone around him.

<div>Both Tom and Patrick shared an inseparable bond as brothers and best friends, bringing warmth and laughter wherever they went. Their sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in our family. Tom is survived by his wife Christel, their seven-year-old son Tommy, and his father, Tom Senior. Patrick leaves behind his parents, sisters, and his girlfriend, Savannah.
