<div><em>Hello everyone, my name is Kimberly, and I’m sharing this with a heart full of hope and a deep need for help. I recently underwent emergency surgery for a possible thyroid cancer diagnosis something that completely blindsided my family and me. Just a few weeks ago, I was dealing with unexpected panic attacks that caused numbness in my left arm. It was scary, and I had no idea those symptoms would lead to something even more serious.</em>

<div><em>My doctor ordered a CT scan to check my spine, and by what I truly believe was God’s grace, they discovered something wrong with my thyroid. I had just had an ultrasound three months earlier that showed nothing if it weren’t for the panic attacks, we might not have caught this in time. After a biopsy and a whirlwind of appointments, I was rushed into surgery.</em>

<div><em>Right now, I’m still in the hospital due to complications and abnormal bloodwork. They removed my thyroid gland and lymph nodes, and everything has been sent to pathology. Now, we are in the hardest part waiting. Waiting to find out if I have cancer and if it spread elsewhere. Waiting to know what’s next. All while trying to stay strong for my husband and our children.</em>

<div><em>My husband is the sole provider for our family, but he’s currently taking unpaid time off to care for me and help with the kids. Thankfully, my dad was able to step in to support us with childcare for a few days, but emotionally and financially, we are overwhelmed. We weren’t prepared for this. We didn’t see it coming. And now, we’re falling behind on monthly bills, with medical expenses piling up fast.</em>

<div><em>This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do but I’m asking for help. Anything you can give no matter the amount will go directly toward medical costs, household bills, and giving my husband and I a small cushion during this unexpected crisis.
