<div>We invite you to participate in an important Fund raiser for the preservation of land ownership and the restoration of monuments on the Bleiburg Field (<em>Bleiburško polje</em>), a place of deep historical significance. The goal of this initiative is to help the Honorary Bleiburg Guard (<em>Počasni bleiburški vod - PBV/ Bleiburger Ehrenzug</em>) in meeting its financial obligations so that the land and the monument remain a permanent memorial for future generations.

U međuvremenu je u austrijskom Parlamentu izglasana Rezolucija kojom je otvorena mogućnost zabrane komemoracija na Bleiburškom polju.

<div>Due to behind the scene games, The Honorary Bleiburg Guard was confiscated of its land on the Bleiburg field, and then the Austrian authorities removed the Croatian historical coat of arms from the Bleiburg monument. In the meantime, the Austrian Parliament passed a Resolution opening the possibility of banning commemorations on Bleiburg Field.

<div>The Honorary Bleiburg Guard initiated three administrative-judicial proceedings on this occasion.
</div>
<div>The first was successful, and the land on Bleiburg Field was returned to the ownership of the Honorary Bleiburg Guard by a final court decision. Now we have to pay the costs of the real estate transaction tax and repair the devastation on the monument and chapel, that occurred during the past years while the land was taken from us.

<div>The second case was lost at the first level, and the lawyer of the Honorary Bleiburg Guard recently appealed to the Austrian Federal Administrative Court.
</div>
<div>The third procedure is being prepared before the Austrian Federal Constitutional Court, which is being asked to revoke the Resolution that opened the possibility of banning commemorations on the Bleiburg field.

<div>The costs of these proceedings far exceed the capabilities of the Honorary Bleiburg Guard and we had to borrow (50,000.00 euros) to settle part of our previous financial obligations.

In der Zwischenzeit stimmte das österreichische Parlament über eine Resolution ab wonach eine Möglichkeit für ein Verbot der Gedenkveranstaltung auf dem Bleiburger Feld möglich wird.

<div>Daraus folgt, dass wir Grunderwerbsteuer bezahlen dürfen sowie die Reparaturen durchführen, die in der Jahren entstanden sind als u s das Grundstück enteignet wurde.

<div>Das zweite Verfahren wurde in erster Instanz gegen uns entschieden doch unser Rechtsbeistand hat vor kurzem Beschwerde beim Bundesverwaltungsgericht eingelegt.
</div>
<div>Das dritte Verfahren wird z. Zt. vor dem österreichischen Bundesverfassungsgericht vorbereitet. Vor diesem wird die Rücknahme der Resolution beantragt wonach die Möglichkeit des Verbots der Gedenkveranstaltung auf dem Bleiburger Feld besteht.

Entretanto, el Parlamento austríaco aprobó una resolución que abre la posibilidad de prohibir las conmemoraciones en aquel lugar.

<br />Our brother Zlatko Vuletic was diagnased with Covid-19 Wednesday, April 28th. After quarentining for 2 weeks, he decided to take another week off to get his retirement set up for, what was planned to be, the end of summer 21'. Shortly after leaving the union hall May 13th, he became disoriented and unbalanced but was able to drive himself to the nearest Emergency room. Soon after running tests at his local hospital, Z was told he had suffered a stroke recently and needed further investigation. After, he was moved to Mount Sania on 99th St. Manhattan which he underwent immediate brain surgery to relieve swelling along with other complication from the stroke. Z is currently recovering from his surgery but has a long journey ahead of him to be able to stand, walk, and talk again. <br /><br />Z has put 25+ years of his life working for 638, and has been a loyal brother and friend to many of us. On Sunday, August 19, 2018, life for the Kordić family changed forever in one horrifying instant – leaving loving parents, Željko and Žiži (née Ivanković), to mourn the death of their 14 year-old son, Dean, and to aid their 12 year-old daughter, Emma, who is currently fighting for her life in hospital in Zagreb, Croatia - far away from their home in Toronto.<br /><br />Dean and Emma were spending their summer vacation visiting family and friends in Croatia and Hercegovina. On a beautiful afternoon, they were canoeing along with others on the Trebižat River when they stopped at a popular vantage point (overlooking the river below) by the train tracks near the river. The two accidentally came in contact with the train power line and were electrocuted.<br /><br />They were immediately taken by ambulance to the hospital in Mostar, where Dean was pronounced dead. Emma was critically injured and with the help and support of family, friends and Croatian government officials, she was promptly transferred to the Trauma Hospital Sisters of Mercy Burn Center in Zagreb, where she remains in life-threatening condition with severe burns to 70% of her body.  <br /><br />Although Emma is receiving excellent care, the family is waiting for Emma to stabilize for transport back to Canada to be cared for at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital (Burn Program).<br /><br />Emma is unaware that her beloved brother (and only sibling) was killed in this heart-breaking accident. The two of them had always been inseparable. As Emma’s parents bury their beloved Dean, they are struggling to remain strong as Emma fights for her life.<br /><br />While we are all praying for Emma’s survival and full recovery, we are reaching out to family, friends, neighbours, and members of our community, seeking financial support for the Kordić family as they accumulate considerable medical bills, including the cost of medical transport for Emma back to Canada, where she would continue the long and difficult road ahead. Tragedy Devastates Kordić Family

My mom was recently in the hospital after feeling awful. She was in there for 5 days, and has been told that she has a Fibroid Tumour in her stomach.  She has to get a hysterectony to remove the things that ail her.  She goes to see the surgeon on December 5th, and will be told when her surgery is after that.  She is not currenlty allowed or able to work due to her not being able to be on her feet for too long.  Not many doctors that can perform this are covered by insurances we have access to.

My Mom's Medical Bills

Please help Jacqueline win her battle with cancer!!<br /><br />Our 13 year old daughter , Jacqueline has been complaining about wheezing and having a stuffy nose...nothing out of the ordinary for kids to have..they get colds all the time!! My wife , Julie thought she should get looked at because this has been going on for a couple weeks and we scheduled an appointment for Jacqueline to see an allergist to see if she was possibly experiencing asthma.. Jacqueline and her dad (Mark) went to the allergist appointment and they tested her to see if in fact she was allergic to anything...all the tests came back negative... The Dr then administered Jacqueline a breathing treatment to see if that would help improve her wheezing....it made no dofference so the Dr decided to have us go for a chest x ray. Jacqueline and her dad went down to have the x ray done and were told we needed to go back and see the Dr for the results...Ok, we thought not a big deal... We returned to the Dr office and were escorted to a room where we waited for the Dr to come in. Several minutes later the Dr opened the door and stood there staring at Jacqueline and her dad but not saying anything... Jacqueline and dad looked at eachother and were puzzled?? The Dr sat down across from Jacqueline and Mark and said....I am so sorry.... again... Jacqueline and dad were puzzled... The Dr then said Jacqueline has a very large mass in her chest and it looks like she has Lymphoma!! with that Jacqueline looked at her father and said "NO"!! and immediately began to cry!! Jacqueline looked at her dad and said "Daddy, I don't want to die"!!  With that we were thrown into another world and were not only extremely scared but also very confused and upset. <br /><br />Jacqueline and Mark left the allergist and immediately caller Julie at work and gave her the terrible news and asked her to please come home immediately...Julie came home and we started calling doctors and frienmds looking for some direction on what we should do as we were terrified for out little girl.. We eventually went to Lurie Children's hospital here in Chicago where Jacqueline has spent almost two weeks of testing and confirming her illness... she has stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma...Our world has been touned upside down as we knew it... Jacqueline will need to undergo intense chemotherapy (5 rounds) along with several rounds of radiation therapy....she will undergo severe changes to her life as will we during this battle... she will endure possible infertility... possible permanant heart damage...possible severe fevers / infections.  Jacqueline will also endure hair loss which is devestating for a 13 year old beautiful young woman... She will go thru many psychological and physical challenges as will our entire family while Jacqueline battles this monster.<br /><br />Jacqueline has requested her mom, Julie be with her at all times thru her battle and not ever leave her which necessitated Julie leaving her job to care for Jacqueline while she is being treated... the treatment will necessitate many hospital visits.. and other unforseen issues such as depression, anxiety and fear of the unknown as we battle this terrible desease... <br />Jacquline's dad, Mark is a Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department and has been a police officer for almost 23 years with the city of Chicago and will have to try to pick up the pieces as far as working and earning extra money so Julie can be home with Jacqueline...as this is her wish!! <br /><br />Jacqueline is a twin and her sister Victoria is VERY close to her and has been affected by this entire ordeal in a very personal way ... this is her life partner...her twin and her soulmate as far as the bond they share as sisters. Victoria is being as supportive and extremely concerned for her sister and is always at her side...they do EVERYTHING together... They love and ride horses and would one day LOVE to have their very own horse!! They were riding three days a week and were looking forward to their second competition this year!! <br /><br />Jacqueline also has a younger brother , Michael who plays hockey in Illinois he is 11 years old and plays for the Chicago Jets CSDHL hockey club.. His hockey team mates and parents have been extremely supportive of him as has the Jets organization... We sincerely appreciate everything they have offered to help Michael out during this difficult time. <br /><br />All of our children attend Edgebrook Elelementary School on the N/W side of Chicago.. The school has been EXTREMELY supportive of our family and Jacqueline.I can not thank them enough as the administration and teachers have been overwhealmingly supportive of Jacqueline at a very important time in her education (7th grade) when students endure several important tests which help them qualify for entry into high school..something Jacqueline has been very stressed out about and has had several break downs fearing she will not qualify for entry into a good high school.. <br /><br />We as a family will be extremely appreciative for any assistance we would get for our daughter to assist in paying medical bills and help suppliment Julie's salary as she is no longer working and has the monumental task of now caring for Jacqueline every step of the way fighting this monster and winning!!  Please help in any way you can and lets get Jacqueline healed and help her beat this cancer!! Dear friends and family,<br /><br />It is with heavy hearts that my sister Melissa and I are writing this on behalf of our younger brother Michael Williams.<br /><br />For those of you who know Mike, you know that it is not in his nature to share details of his personal life on social media. He is the kind of guy who “plays his cards close to his chest”. But sometimes life deals you a hand that is tough to handle by yourself.<br /><br />In April 2014, Mike was blessed with the birth of his beautiful son Henry. Henry lives in Maine with his mother. Mike resides and works in Massachusetts, and visits with Henry whenever he possibly can. He strives to overcome many challenges in order to be involved in his son’s life.<br /><br />On May 20th, 2015, 13 month old Henry was diagnosed with stage 3 inoperable Neuroblastoma. Since then, he has been hospitalized at Barbra Bush children’s hospital in Portland Maine, where he has already undergone several surgeries and his first round of chemotherapy treatment.  Henry has been such a trooper, and is always trying to keep a smile on his precious little face.<br /><br />Henry has a long battle in front of him and needs his father’s strength and support. This is why we are using the power of social media to appeal to the goodness, compassion, and generosity of others. We have set up this page as a central place for friends and family to offer support at any level to help offset the exuberant cost of medical deductibles, as well as Mike’s travel expenses (gas, tolls, hotels, food etc.)<br /><br />We will post regular updates on Henry’s progress along the way, and urge you all to share this among your own network and #HelpHenry #Cancer #BeatCancer. Carlos "Chaz" Mena story.......... In the wee hours of the morning, on New Year’s Day, 2015, we here at Lexus of Pembroke Pines, lost one of our own to a horrific automobile accident.  Carlos “Chaz” Mena was a sales associate here at Lexus of Pembroke Pines for two years.  In that time he made many friends of his clients, and was an integral part of our family here.  It was a sad day for us when we learned of the accident.

Chaz  Mena's Memorial Fund

I am Veronica Bard. My son died suddenly October 27, 2014. He was only 15. My husband David and I are heartbroken. Not ever planning to bury our own child, we are short on finances for the funeral.<br />  My son was a bright, witty, special kid, our only child, who will never get to grow up.
