<div>For those who may not be as familiar with our organization, Happy Paws Haven Co. is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charity; a foster based no-kill animal rescue. We operate throughout Detroit and the surrounding metro areas, and we are so proud of all the service and great rescue work we have been able to provide thus far in our local communities.

<div>Since Happy Paws was founded 3 years ago, we have rescued and adopted over 1800 homeless dogs and cats to loving families. Sadly, the requests to take in additional animals are never-ending, and we are often limited in our ability to assist when our current vehicle is occupied with supplies or animals already in our care. Accordingly, we are reaching out in hopes of raising funds for an additional transport van, in order to save more animals in need.

Our donors have already been so incredible allowing us to go above and beyond to ensure that every animal we rescue receives the veterinary care, supplies, and comfort they need while with our organization. Nonetheless, we know we simply cannot expand what we do without the ongoing generosity and support of our benefactors.

<div>Since childhood, I’ve had an unshakable love for animals. Whether it was spotting a stray in need and refusing to leave until help arrived or <strong><em>convincing my parents to adopt our first dog when I was just eight years old, my heart has always been with animals in need.</em></strong> People say we’re born for certain callings, and in 2015, I found mine when I started cleaning kennels at a Metro Detroit animal shelter<strong><em>.</em></strong>

<div><strong><em>For six years, I poured my soul into rehabilitating broken and abused dogs—many rescued straight from the streets. </em></strong>Fostering became my passion, giving these animals a warm, loving home instead of a cold kennel, even if only temporarily. It was then that I dreamed of something bigger: a property where I could safely house and care for these deserving dogs.

<div><strong><em>In March 2021,</em></strong> that dream began to take shape when <strong><em>I co-founded Happy Paws Haven Co. with an amazing team.</em></strong> Since then, we’ve <strong><em>rescued over 2,100 animals, giving them love, care, and second chances they’d never thought possible.</em></strong>

<div>But now, we need your help to take the next big step in our journey.

<div><strong><em>The Dream</em></strong>

<div>In <strong><em>November 2024, our President and her husband took a leap of faith and purchased a 7.8-acre farm</em></strong>. This 30x72 2100sq foot building was previously used as a dog breeding facility, but we envision it as a nurturing and safe space for the dogs that is properly setup in accordance with state and local regulations.

<div><strong><em>The property is a blank slate. It’s missing essential infrastructure like septic, (proper) electricity, heat, kennels, fencing, and the basic necessities to safely house the animals.</em></strong>
</div>

<div>We’re reaching out to animal lovers, dreamers, and doers who believe in second chances. <strong><em>While monetary donations are appreciated, there are so many ways to contribute:</em></strong>
