<div><strong>ABOUT SHARON MOORE</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>Child of God. Mom. Grandma. Sister. Aunt. Friend. </strong>These were the names Sharon was proudest to be called.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Servant Leader. Caregiver. Artist. Beloved Friend. Warrior. Inspiration. Saint. </strong>These were the most common words anyone who met Sharon used to describe her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With a warm smile on her face, Sharon Lynn Moore (Ricketts), 76, was called home to her FATHER during the afternoon of August 13, 2025. A three-time breast cancer survivor who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in January 2020, Sharon spent her last few days surrounded by her loving family, including all of her children and many of her grandchildren. She uttered her final words, “I love you,” the day before her soul departed from her earthly body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Guided by deep-seated values, Sharon lived her life in accordance with the principles she believed in: faith in God; supporting her Village (family and friends); demonstrating kindness and compassion, especially for youth and the vulnerable; and working hard while being optimistic.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>SHARON MOORE LEGACY FUND</strong>
</div>
<div>In lieu of flowers, please support Sharon's legacy by contributing to this campaign, the proceeds of which will support the education, enrichment, and development of Sharon’s 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, the most significant part of her legacy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>ABOUT SHARON'S GRANDCHILDREN</strong>
</div>
<div>Most of Sharon’s grandchildren, the youngest of whom is 17 years of age and a senior in high school, are currently or soon-to-be-enrolled in postsecondary educational institutions, with aspirations of becoming entrepreneurs and engineers, starting nonprofits, and opening day care centers. They value family and seek to build strong families themselves, and they are inspired to positively impact the community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of the costs of higher education, most of Sharon’s grandchildren work, some up to 40 hours per week, while also going to school and navigating life. Your support will go a long way in supporting these remarkable individuals, who have had strong values instilled in them by the late Sharon Moore.

<div>Hello everyone! We are the Berkeley Police Association and we are back asking you for your support and donations for our annual "<strong>Turkey Basket</strong>" event for the Thanksgiving holiday.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you're unfamiliar with the event, the BPA and an army of volunteers provide a<em> complete </em>Thanksgiving meal for families in need throughout Berkeley. These families are identified by various organizations that assist the underserved and needing members of our community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/96242843_176218828938959_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These meals include a whole turkey, sides, bread rolls, and a dessert. They are assembled by numerous volunteers the day before Thanksgiving. Once assembled, these baskets are delivered to the organizations for distribution. Last year was an exciting turnout of volunteers! On top of our usual BPA leaders, families, and friends, we also received assistance from Berkeley Mayor Adena Ishii, City Manager Paul Buddenhagen, Berkeley Police Chief Jen Louis, along with City Council Members Bartlett and Tregub!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/96242843_1762188971866543_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last year, thanks to the support of Gofundme donations, community stakeholders, and donations from the BPA, we again broke our record by delivering <strong>1100 meals! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the recent developments of the government shutdown, the BPA is already fielding significant requests for turkey baskets. We anticipate the need to be greater than ever and <strong>with your support</strong>, we hope to break the record yet again!
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>In our years of organizing the event, we have never had to say no to a community group that has asked for assistance in providing Thanksgiving meals. The tremendous success of the event is only made possible by donations from you, support from the community, and our continuing strong partnerships with other organizations. The organizations we partner with are The Fourth St Business District, EP Wealth Advisors, Our City Center Church, Oakland Grocery Outlet, Pacific Agri, Argonaut Garage, NuVision Credit Union, the Multicultural Institute, the Berkeley Police Department, iniBurger (2114 Center Street), Residence Inn by Marriott (2121 Center Street), and many more.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating to the event. There are a great deal of families in need and our goal is to once again have everyone enjoy a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Berkeley Police Association Turkey Baskets 2025

<div>Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out on behalf of our beloved friend, Amanda Montgomery, who is currently facing the most difficult battle of her life—a diagnosis of glioblastoma, an aggressive and relentless brain tumor. So many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to support our Amanda, this GoFundMe has been established to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This news has been devastating, but Amanda (and Kitt, Adi &amp; Robyn) have shown incredible courage, strength, and grace in the face of such a daunting challenge. As Amanda continues treatment— surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, and countless doctor visits—the emotional and physical toll is enormous. Unfortunately, so is the financial burden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even with insurance and the incredible support from their families, the emotional and financial pressure is on-going. The optimism from exploring clinical trials in Europe can be offset with the cost implications. Our goal is to relieve some of that pressure, so Amanda and her family can focus on what matters most: treatment, comfort, and time together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know times are hard for many, but any amount—large or small—will make a difference. Every donation goes directly toward medical expenses and support needs. And if you're unable to give, simply sharing this page would mean the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s surround Amanda with the love and support she needs right now. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being part of this journey.
</div>

<div><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;">Hi everyone! MAC Dance Class of 2023 Alumni Ingela Alvarado is one of the most genuine, caring, and overall wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of teaching. Her creativity and passion for dance are infectious, and she is always bringing light and inspiration to others through her choreography and her dancing. Ingela was currently pursuing her dreams at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City when something didn't feel right and she went to the hospital to get checked out. Fast forward to today: Ingela is still in the hospital after the doctors found a mass in her chest so large it is compressing her heart and lungs. Doctors are getting her ready to start chemotherapy treatment soon and although it's going to be a tough battle, we know Ingela's going to fight so hard this cancer will wish it hadn't messed with her in the first place!</span>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since Ingela will be incurring many medical expenses and mom won't be able to work as usual during this time or for the foreseeable future, that's where she could really use your support! Any donations to help recuperate the family's finances throughout this medical leave would be greatly appreciated. Donations will not only help cover Ingela's medical expenses, but also everyday bills that won't wait. Your generosity will make a huge difference in Ingela's journey towards a cancer-free life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, support, and generosity! Let's team up to show cancer that it can't knock Ingela down!

Ingela's Battle Against Cancer

<div>UPDATE<br /><br />Alexis' beautiful spirit is free, soaring into the next realm where there is only infinite love and freedom. Alexis transitioned the evening of Sunday, October 10th at Kaiser Oakland.<br /><br />The GoFundMe is still very much needed to pay for burial costs and a plot at Piedmont Cemetery, so Tina, Derek and all who love Alexis can have a beautiful place to go and be with her. The fund will also be used to honor Alexis' wishes that her two horses are boarded together, which is very expensive. Any excess funds will be divided between the StepOne School Scholarship Fund and horseback riding scholarship for underprivileged children.<br /><br />--<br />Anyone who has ever met Alexis knows that she is one of the bravest people you will ever meet. She has had cancer for the past three years and, tragically, in the last few weeks the treatment has stopped working. Very recently her symptoms increased and she was told that the cancer spread to her brain and spine, among other areas.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Many of you know her as “Teacher Alexis” at Step One School, where she is cherished and adored, forever etched into the hearts of hundreds of children and families she has guided, loved and supported. Others know her as a gifted horse trainer and animal lover, mother to her three beloved animals – Cooper (horse), Lady Bug (horse) and Dozer (dog) who she ran around with daily at Hossmoor ranch. At 39, Alexis is witty, wise and such a good friend.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Alexis is scheduled to come home this week to receive end-of-life care. The one thing we know is that the medical expenses for her end-of-life care will soon be insurmountable for her family. This page is being set up with the hope that, as her community we can help alleviate some of the financial burden to Alexis’ family as well as assist for care for her adored animals.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Please keep Alexis, Tina, Derek and the rest of her family in your thoughts. In lieu of texts and emails to Tina, we ask that you please leave messages of love below.
