<div>This GoFundMe is being created on behalf of my best friends and god children, Luke, Callan, Leon &amp; Auggie, who devastatingly lost their home in <strong>Altadena to the Eaton Canyon Fire</strong> today.

<div>This was their <strong>first home as a family</strong> and although they had only lived in it for a short time it was filled with so much love, joy and many amazing memories.

<div>Due to the rapid evacuation notice they were only able to leave with the clothes they were wearing and minimal valuables. <strong>Everything they own is a complete loss including most sentimental and irreplaceable items.</strong>

<div>Luke &amp; Callan have been amazing friends to many, always offering a lending hand or are there in a time of need and now they need our help. <strong>Let’s help them get back to as normal as possible after this devastating loss.</strong>

Help Luke & Callan After Eaton Fire Loss

<br /><br />Dear Family &amp; Friends of Jim &amp; Donna ... <br /><br />Donna‘s husband, Jim Pearson, has been involved in a horrible horse accident; He fell off a horse and as he was falling, pulled the horse down with him - the saddle horn broke his sternum (as well as several ribs). Although he was wearing a helmet, the impact knocked him out cold (and he has not yet woken up).  Jim was airlifted to St. Pats in Missoula, where he is in ICU. <br /><br />The fact that Jim has yet to wake up has Doctor’s very concerned, as they think he has a “deep brain injury”.  Because he cannot communicate, and they can’t question him to evaluate him further, they are doing CT scans to monitor him.  Currently the neurologist has him listed in “stable condition”.<br /><br />(We feel it important to mention that the horses on the property are all professionally trained for any rider to be aboard. Jim is a cautious rider and very gentle with the horses.  Donna and Jim always wear their helmets when they’re riding, that is a must!!  The horse was awesome and steered clear of him when she was getting up.)<br /><br />Making matters worse, health insurance has become un-affordable in the state of Montana for an independent contractor. In all of Donna’s life she has always had health insurance, until recently. She could no longer afford the outrageous premiums Totaling upwards of $24K per year, plus deductibles of approximately $6500 each. She knew she was taking a chance letting her insurance lapse, and she was right. <br /><br />(The Pearson’s are kind and generous for everyone, and would never ask for help for themselves - so I’m asking on their behalf. )<br /><br />As you all know, Donna is the sole provider for their household (as Jim has the grueling task of keeping the ranch in tip-top shape)...  Her clients are of her utmost importance and she will be conducting business from her laptop as she sits by Jims side in ICU. <br /><br />We appreciate any words of positive support, all your prayers, and if you can spare any monetary value - it would be so much appreciated!  His road to recovery is unknown at this time. But if we know Jim, he is fighting like a madman inside of his own head right now. There’s no way he will go down without a fight.<br /><br />We will update with any news as it comes.

<div>Cathy is doing great and has made tremendous progress in fighting the cancer.
</div>

<div>In addition to chemotherapy, she is using special oxygen procedures that are helping tremendously at fighting the cancer. These additional procedures are not covered by insurance, and your donations are making this possible.
</div>

</div>
<div>The family is continuing to help in many financial aspects, but additional help is vital in continuing the oxygen treatments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone, we have initially raised $53,000. We need approximately $42,000 more to reach our goal and this will get her through the full round of treatments.

<div>That’s our Dad. Many people know that smile - always at the ready. Lives have changed because of him and many of you know that too. He has dedicated his life to helping others and right now he needs a little help. He recently had a very unexpected heart attack which put him in the hospital for 10 days. He’s doing much better now, but the road to recovery is long and, due to some insurance shortfalls, it is also expensive.

<p>Maria Guadalupe Ortega recently lost her battle with cancer. She was a kind, hard-working, and beautiful soul who's smile and laughter captivated everyone around her. This is her story:<br /><br />She was raised in a small Mexican town near Guadalajara where she spent her teenage years, but after having two kids she decided that she wanted something greater for them. She came to the US in 1991 in search for the American Dream and a better life.<br /><br />Her life in the US was dedicated to work and raising her kids. As decades passed, she showed her kids the true meaning of hard-work, strength, and dedication.<br /><br />On June 2017, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in the liver and was expected to live only a few months... but she was strong.<br /><br />Fast forward a year and a half and several rounds of chemotherapy, the cancer was shrinking and under control. Her hair grown, and spirit lifted, she was ready to go back to work. <br /><br />But soon after, while in need of more treatment, her insurance began denying it. Months went by with no treatment in sight, meanwhile her health began to deteriorate.
</p>

<p>Due to the aggressiveness of her illness on Nov 7th, 2018, Maria Guadalupe Ortega lost her battle against cancer. <br /><br />She is survived by her four kids, Maricela (30yo), Jesus (28), Anthony (19), Ruby (15), and four grandchildren. <br /><br />This fund will help with funeral arrangements and services.
