<div>Hi, my name is Carissa and I’m fundraising for my best friend’s father, Manuel.
</div>
<div>Manuel has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, and doctors have given the family very limited time. This news has completely shattered everyone who loves him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manuel is an incredible father to Manuel Jr. and Mayra. He’s also a grandfather whose love has shaped his grandchildren’s world. His granddaughter Annabella shares an especially deep bond with him, seeing him as her safe place, her guide, and one of the most important people in her life. This is truly heartbreaking for her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For nearly three decades, since 1997, Manuel has managed The Golden Skate skating rink in San Ramon, Ca. Manuel gave me my first job 18 years ago. He has dedicated his life to creating a safe, joyful space for kids, teens, and families. If you grew up in the area, you’ve probably seen him there… working hard, smiling, and treating everyone with kindness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With his birthday next week and the holidays right around the corner, this diagnosis has been especially heartbreaking. What should be a time of celebration has become a time of unimaginable pain, fear, and financial stress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On top of the heartbreak, this has placed an overwhelming amount of responsibility on his daughter, my best friend Mayra. She’s had to make painful medical decisions, sign paperwork no daughter ever wants to sign, and take on the things her dad has always handled… the house, the bills, and all the daily responsibilities he quietly carried for his family. The emotional weight has been crushing, and every bit of support helps lift some of that burden during a time when all she wants is to be by her father’s side.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are asking for donations to help support Manuel’s family during this devastating time… for medical needs, lost income, and the ability for them to focus on every moment they have left with him. Any donation will help them stay afloat during this painful transition and give them the time and space they need to grieve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your love.

The Heaviest Goodbye: Funeral Fund for Manuel

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family is humbly asking for any support during this detrimental time for us. Our mother and grandmother, Maria Del Carmen Vallejo, is in critical condition and in need of life saving treatment. Unfortunately, Maria Del Carmen fell ill while out of the country, where her medical insurance does not cover treatment. She was diagnosed with complicated bacterial phenomena, embolia, thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Carmen has been hospitalized for 10 days and may need to remain hospitalized for several more weeks.
</div>
<div>We are asking for assistance from our friends, family and community to help cover the costs of the life saving treatment she requires.
</div>
<div>If you know Maria Del Carmen, you know she has a young spirit at heart. She is a vibrant woman with so much more life left in her. In these moments, our beloved mother and grandmother is fighting for her life, her family wishes to give her a fighting chance to come out of this. As we all know, the out of pocket cost of healthcare quickly adds up to tens of thousands of dollars.
</div>
<div>If there is anything you can help with, we greatly appreciate your support as we navigate this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>Estamos pidiendo ayuda a nuestros amigos, familiares y comunidad para ayudar a cubrir el costo del tratamiento necesario para salvarle la vida.
</div>
</div>
<div>Si hay algo en lo que pueda ayudar, apreciamos mucho su apoyo mientras atravesamos estos momentos difíciles

Support Life Saving Treatment

<div>Hello, my name is Sophia Armstrong, I am the sister of Justin Armstrong. As many of you know on Friday, August 26th, our beloved Justin was taken from us. Many of you have expressed interest in supporting our mother Joy Armstrong and wanting to donate for funeral/memorial expenses. I have set up this GoFundMe so all of you who want to donate can. This loss has been so hard on all that knew Justin and we appreciate all of the love and support our family has received this far.

It is with a heavy heart that a daughter, sister, cousin, and friend has unexpectedly gained her wings a little sooner than all of us. Marián was in a car accident on Saturday April 17th that took her life away. Marian was full of life always with a big smile and would light up any room she walked in! As she leaves her parents and 3 siblings behind we ask that you help with anything you can so we can give her a proper burial and her mom grieve in peace.

Marian Gonzales Camargo

My name is Casey Brown, and I am writing you in honor of the man I call my father.  Lee Brown is the most selfless, caring individual who would do anything for his family. I am here to tell you his story.<br /><br />My dad grew up with very little, in a small town in Arizona. All he has ever known is manual labor, &amp; hard work.He started working &amp;  providing for his family before he was 18, and was never given the opportunity to finish school -- yet that never stopped my Dad from giving me the most amazing life I could ever ask for.  As long I can remember my dad always came home with dirt under his nails, signs of a long hard day at work -- and still always found a way to spend a little extra time with me and my brother growing up. After all the things he has taught me, one is that it is okay to ask for help… &amp; right now, my family needs help. <br /><br />My dad has always worked to the maximum extent that his body would allow &amp; that is finally catching up to him.. He is in critical condition with congestive heart failure. Lee has been fighting this condition since 2002, he has already gone through surgery to implant a defibulator into his chest. This surgery was done is 2005. In 2016 my father was selected  for an experimental surgery where they used a pigs heart valve and replaced my fathers damaged valve -- DR’s had hope that this would give my father a new chance at life, but unfortunately he is stil dealing with numb limbs (fingers and toes), continuous shortness of breath. Its gotten to the point that he has given up the thing he enjoys most, golfing. Its became exhausting and frustrating for he cant eben carry his own clubs to the hole.<br /><br />In August 2019 Lee began regular visits to Kaiser Santa Clara heart failure department where preliminary test began to determine if he was eligible for a transplant . My father has already gone through so many painful procedures, it breaks my heart. One of the more invasive procedures is a Intra-Aortic balloon pump, where they go in through a artery from arm into the heart to allow the balloon to relieve some of the pressure on his heart. This is the most recent procedure done ( November 26th) This was done in order to transfer him to Stanford, by the Santa Clara Kaiser team. <br /><br />This was just one of many procedures and test my Dad did all while maintaining his extremely physical job as a mechanic. Could you imagine working on machines with less then 30% of your heart working? I cant.<br /><br />As of November 21st, my father has been admitted to Stanford Medical in Palo Alto -- he has been accepted and is third in line to receive  a new heart in the western region. Also to make things more difficult on the search to a new heart for my dad, he also is O+ blood type, which means he needs a O+ heart from a body similar to stats of his own. (height, weight etc) <br /><br />I come to you humbly asking for prayer, donations, shares whatever you can give to relieve some of the worries off of the already full plate for my Father &amp; family. Being the primary provider to a household and being told that you will no longer be able to work to pay the  never ending bills is a burden I will do anything to take off his mind; allowing him to use all his strength and will to heal and recover as fast as possible. <br /><br />On top of regular bills such as electric, water, insurance, car payments etc both my parents will need to stay within a few miles from the Stanford hospital in Palo Alto for the first month after discharge. My mom will be taking work off to stay by my father’s side to take care of him around the clock. She will also be out of work, leaving my younger brother and myself responsible with all that comes along with a home. Nightly charges for a hotel, will quickly pile up along with medication, toll to cross bridge, parking at Stanford and more.<br /><br /><br />Thank you for considering donating to my family, I will never be able to thank you enough..  <br />I will keep up to date on all updates on my father, thank you once more for not only reading my story but considering donating as well. <br /><br /><br />Love always,<br /><br />  The Brown family

A new heartbeat for Lee
