<div>Many may not be aware of the hardships Thomas has been facing, as he is one of the most prideful and selfless individuals we know. He has always put others before himself, but now, he and his family need our help.

<div>For years, Thomas and his wife struggled to conceive. After multiple attempts, they were finally blessed with a pregnancy, but their joy came with unforeseen medical complications. Frequent doctor visits became a part of their journey, requiring specialists and extensive care.


</div>

<div>Amidst these challenges, Thomas received devastating news—he was diagnosed with cancer. This diagnosis meant even more hospital visits, treatments, and ultimately, a mandatory surgery. While he battled cancer, his pregnant wife was also in and out of the hospital, adding to their emotional and physical toll.

<div>After spending days apart due to his surgery, Thomas was finally able to return home—only to face post-surgery complications that forced him back into the hospital. Once again, the family was separated during a time they needed each other the most.

<div>Just as Thomas was recovering, it was time for his wife to give birth. Their beautiful daughter, Baby Roe, arrived but faced a serious health battle of her own, requiring emergency open-heart surgery. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, but her recovery journey in the NICU will be long, with Thomas and his wife by her side every step of the way.

<div>Thomas has dedicated 23 years to serving the Newark Police Department, currently holding the rank of Captain. He has been a mentor, teacher, and leader, always willing to help others. Now, it is our turn to help him.

Support Thomas Roe & Family in Their Time of Need

<div>Our family recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Elliana Mae Leak into the world—my sister’s first child. She was born with a congenital heart defect known as Transposition of the Great Arteries. At just 4 days old, she underwent life-saving open heart surgery.

<div>Ellie has had a rollercoaster of a recovery since then and has bravely fought through numerous medical interventions including intubations, Balloon Septostomy procedure within the first hour of life and delayed closure of her chest due to swelling. After spending nearly a month in the Cardiac NICU, she finally came home, but not without the need for ongoing medical care. This includes an NGT for feeding difficulties and a regimen of antibiotics and cardiac medications.

<div>This has been an incredibly emotional and financially draining time for my sister Cynthia and her husband Tommy. As new parents they never imagined their first weeks as a family would be spent living in the hospital or nearby hotel. Between the hospital bills, travel expenses, and everyday needs, their financial pressures have become overwhelming.

Support Baby Elliana’s Recovery after Open Heart Surgery

<div>As many of you know, <strong>James has been dealing with health issues for the past couple of years.</strong> He has had multiple complications from his cancer that have left him in the hospital for the last 2 months, during which he is unable to work anymore.

<div>Hi, friends. My name is Elise and I am fundraising, along with my Fordham family, on behalf of our close friend, Lex Touris.

<div>Lex was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in January 2024. Since receiving this very devastating diagnosis, she has undergone a bilateral mastectomy and has begun a one-year course of chemotherapy treatment with very difficult side effects.

<div>Unfortunately, due to the serious side effects associated with her treatment, she is unable to work. Lex is self-employed as an occupational therapist working with children. Because she is a small business owner, she is unable to access the insurance benefits that employees of larger organizations enjoy, and this disruption to her business has been particularly devastating.

<div>Anyone who has met Lex even once knows what a wonderful, warm, and generous soul she is. She is smart, silly, dedicated, and a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, and friend. Lex has a bigger heart than anyone, and is so deserving of our love and support at this difficult time.

Support Lex's Battle Against Breast Cancer

<div>Hello, my name is Decy, named after December, the month I begged to be rescued by my kind, foster mom. I am 5 years old. My previous people were not nice. I was thrown in the street with a badly broken leg (femoral head) caused by trauma, (maybe from beatings or getting hit by a car). The vet said I need surgery ASAP to take away the severe pain I’m in. I ask for your help in covering the cost of my surgery and giving me a second chance at a life.

<div>Dr. Petranto and the amazing team at Mansfield Animal Hospital have quoted my foster mom and estimate of $1,878.00 for the surgery + $443.00 for pre surgical exams (this is already discounted price) and post surgical check ups which have not been estimated.
