<div>My name is Sorin Samrith, it's with the heaviest of hearts that I'm announcing the passing of my dear mother KHEM SAMRITH. She went peacefully in her sleep at our home. She is survived by myself, my older sister, our younger brother, grandchildren, our cousins and loved ones.
</div>
<div>My Mak (mother in khmer) is always been the epitome of strength and endurance. She went thru many challenges, obstacles and hardships in her life. I'm sure as we all do. But she was amazing in how she stayed persevering and strong as she could be. She was the best mother she could be and wife to our dad. Who she will now reunite with in heaven. I've always looked to her as strong role model. She had a stroke in her 20s leaving her left side if her body no mobility but it didn't stop her. She did her best being our mother and being a good wife to our father. She has been on dialysis for 3 years with her kidney failure. And this year she was decling more. Her body was getting tired and shutting down. She was in a rehabilitation hospital to get well enough to come home. She came home after 5 months in the hospital in June. But still continued to decline in her health. We just put her in home hospice so she could be home and surrounded by our little family as she wanted. I just want to say "thank you" to everyone who has been praying, sending well wishes and asking about Mama. It really meant a lot to us words simply could not express how blessed and appreciative we are for your kindness. I only made this gofundme account because some of you have been wanting to "chol boun" (make a donation for Mama) for her. <div>My name is Holly the daughter of Phat Sam. I am creating this fundraiser today to inform you of the great loss of my beloved father Phat Sam. My fathers passing was unexpected and it all happened so fast, we were blind sided. My father passed away This morning on August 3rd, 2023 eastern time zone. The man was working tirelessly day in and day out on his house and land. He then became ill and within a few weeks he passed. He was not able to eat for several days; he drastically loss weight and became weak. His health declined rapidly even with medical attention. My father lived in the countryside of Cambodia, the medical team there was not as advanced as the team in the city. As my dad was being transported to the hospital in the city he was becoming more ill, when he arrived at the hospital he had already passed.

<div>As some of you may know my father was deported to Cambodia due to a senseless crime in his younger years. He resided in California prior to deportation, he was respected and well known by so many people in the community. He was a popular man because he was so much of a people person with a great personality, that people clung onto to him naturally. Not only my father was a great person he was an all around amazing father, he raised my sisters and I alone through many struggles. Regardless of the obstacles that stood in his way, he made sure his children we well taken care of. Even being in Cambodia he never gave up on life, he made the best out of his situation.

<div>My family and I are so devastated by the sudden death of my father. We are starting this fundraiser in hopes to receive donations to cover the cost of my fathers funeral. We had no idea how fast he would leave us, because of that anyone could imagine we were not financially prepared for such a tragic loss. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. Hello family and friends, I am setting up this GoFundMe page for my uncle. This morning I woke up to the worst news ever. My uncle had passed away due to natural causes. He was on hospice care at home, the nurses did a very good job but my uncle lost his battle to his illness. And with covid 19 around it's been very difficult with everything.  He was such an Amazing uncle to us all, and definitely wonderful father to our cousins.  I couldn't ask for a better uncle, may he RIP. I wanted to ask everyone if you care to share or even donate any amount if possible to help with funeral expenses, we definitely appreciate it, everything goes a long way, and every amount counts. We will have his funeral service on Saturday August 8th, at 10:00am at the temple on 297 Millbrae ave Santa Rosa, CA 95407. If anyone would like to pay their respect, His service will continue at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of the Roses.
