English : While the world holds onto its precious possessions, we, the children of Gaza, hold onto a room in our house that carried our memories, dreams, and secrets, where we once slept peacefully and safely. But all those memories have turned into unbearable pain. Each day brings a new agony, whether it’s the death of one of us, the capture of others, or the destruction of a home. We are now displaced every day from one shelter to another. We had hoped to achieve our dreams and future like any child in this world, but everything changed in an instant. Our children aspire to continue their education, to build a better future, but war makes that impossible. We now dream of finding food, of sleeping without feeling the cold, of sleeping without hearing the sound of bombings, and without smelling the scent of gunpowder. Our last wish is to sleep peacefully and safely. Français : Alors que le monde garde ses précieux biens, nous, enfants de Gaza, conservons une chambre de notre maison qui portait nos souvenirs, nos rêves et nos secrets, où nous dormions paisiblement et en sécurité. Mais toutes ces souvenirs se sont transformés en douleur insupportable. Chaque jour apporte une nouvelle douleur, que ce soit par la mort de l’un de nous, la capture d’autres, ou la destruction d’une maison.
