<div>Burris, Maria, Elliott, and Alora are faced with a challenging journey as Burris begins chemotherapy for an extremely rare blood disorder that is currently attacking his heart. During his treatments, Burris won’t be able to work, which will create a significant financial strain as he is the primary source of income for his family.

<div>After a long journey of not feeling well followed by numerous doctor visits, blood and urine tests, Burris was diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis in December 2024. This is an incurable but treatable bone marrow and blood disorder that attacks his heart and other organs. Getting treatment is imperative in order to save his heart.

<div>Burris is a loving husband to Maria and a devoted father to their two children, Elliott (10) and Alora (5). He is a key partner in his family's home improvement business and an incredible provider for his family. He's always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need, and his strength, kindness, and dedication to his family inspire everyone who knows him.

Support the Dixon Family: A Fight Against AL Amyloidosis

<div>Nihit Rawal, beloved friend, devoted husband, caring brother, son and cherished family member. While visiting his family in his home country of India for the first time in seven years he contracted a mosquito-borne viral disease. Amidst his struggle with symptoms, he developed encephalitis. He has been unexpectedly and tragically forced on a long and uncertain road to recovery. We are asking for financial help in this difficult time. Without medical insurance or income, Nihit and his family now face an enormous financial burden.

<div>Within 48 hours of returning home to New York, Nihit developed a fever. His fever worsened over the course of the following days. After a visit to urgent care, Nihit and Jess, his wife, were sent home to treat the fever with ibuprofen. The fever increased throughout the night, and by early morning on Friday, he was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital. While in the emergency room, his health quickly deteriorated, and he suffered from symptoms of delirium. He was admitted later that night.

<div>Saturday morning, Nihit experienced a seizure and was transferred to the intensive care unit. From there, he was intubated and placed in an induced coma where he underwent many tests, including an MRI and two spinal taps.

<div>On Tuesday, December 10th, against all odds, Nihit woke up through sedation on his own. Throughout the day, the nurses gradually reduced his sedatives to monitor his symptoms. Nihit's responses were incredible, given his circumstances, so by early afternoon, they were able to remove him entirely from life support.

<div>Wednesday, December 11th, Nihit has made a lot of progress. His health still faces a lot of uncertainty. Due to brain swelling and lesions, he will have a long road to recovery. Nihit has been transferred from the intensive care unit to neurology intensive care recovery, where he will spend the coming days/weeks. The goal of his medical team has been to keep Nihit as comfortable as possible until a prognosis is made.

<div>Nihit has so much life left and is loved by so many. As a valued member of the Westhampton business community, Nihit manages Pickleball &amp; Tennis At The Barn, a local tennis club where he oversees his own academy providing instruction and coaching in both sports. He is highly regarded and respected by both his clients and colleagues. We have created this fundraiser to provide practical and emotional support during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will help alleviate the financial burden of Nihit's medical expenses, potential therapy, and other unforeseen costs allowing Nihit and his family to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.

Support Nihit's Fight for Recovery

<p>Carlos tested positive for COVID on August 15th and he is currently at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati fighting to get back on his feet and back on the court.
</p>

<p>Once transferred from Kettering Hospital to Christ Hospital, it was determined that Carlos was fighting a bacterial infection in his lungs as well as a blood infection. Carlos was put on ECMO, a life saving machine, on August 27th to allow his heart and lungs to rest while his body heals. We have faith that he is receiving the best possible care and are claiming complete healing!

<p>Friends and family have asked the best way to help the Estrada Family during this difficult time so we are setting up this fundraiser to try to take the financial burden off the family as they focus on Carlos’ healing. If you have ever been hit with an unexpected life event you know that the monthly expenses don’t stop and unexpected expenses increase drastically.

Early in the fall of 2018, my brother-in-law, Mark, was diagnosed with a very rare type of sinus cancer: SMARC-B1 deficient sinonasal carcinoma. He was only the 40th person MD Anderson have found with this type of cancer since 2015 when it was first discovered. Please Help Mark Fight Cancer

Hey Dayton. Our beloved father, John Gassett (aka John Dad), could really use a helping hand right now. His house caught on fire on Thursday 12/14 and everything inside of it was lost. This is the house he pays for his daughter’s mom and 4 children to live in, although he lives on his own with his father, Butch. <br /><br />Thankfully nobody was injured, but everything was lost.<br /><br />The holidays are a financially strenuous time for everyone, but our dear friend John lost his house.
