<div>Molly has spent the last six years battling various health issues related to radiation damage from Hodgkin's Disease when she was 19. What began as breast cancer in 2019 led to radiation heart disease and open-heart surgery in 2023. Now, after all she has already endured, <strong>Molly has been diagnosed with Radiation Induced Stage IV Lung Cancer.</strong>

<div>This diagnosis in September was incredibly shocking and painful to Molly as she is a lifelong non-smoker. Molly will now be on an indefinite regime of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She has been so unfairly put through the wringer.

<div>Through every challenge she has faced, Molly has fought with grace, strength, an unbreakable spirit, and her incredible sense of humor. She faces down her appointments and treatments with a smile on her face and her famous quick wit. But this is the toughest battle yet.

<div>Unfortunately, Molly can no longer meet the demands of her work. Her medical care is now requiring the bulk of her time. As she focuses on treatment and spending precious time with her family, the financial burden is growing. <strong>It goes without saying that losing her financial contribution to their household puts a significant strain on her and Jon.</strong>

<div>Molly is the heart of her family. She and her husband have always given their all to their two incredible children—her 17-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter. <div>Ryan is an exceptional young man from West Philadelphia. He's lucky to have been blessed with a beautiful family. His daughter, Journey is in pre-school and his son (and Brody's pal) Riley also attends Albert M. Greenfield as a 7th grader. They are both exceptional children.

<div>On Sunday, December 11th, Ryan was in a car accident that took place on the Schuylkill Expressway. Ryan was driving his car as a Lyft Driver to make extra money for his kids for holiday time. Everyone survived the crash but his car was completely totaled. Ryan is an extremely bright, hard-working man. He also attends Eastern University College.  In addition to working two early childhood jobs and going to school simultaneously, he's also a wonderful father, always looking out for his kids and setting an example of what it means to be a great person and a contributor to a community. I seriously do not know how he does it. In 2021, Ryan was recognized by his West Philadelphia neighborhood Councilman as an upstanding citizen in his community.

<div>Brody would not be excelling in academics had it not been for Ryan's support, encouragement, and pure love. He and Brody share a rapport like none other I've ever seen. They deeply love each other and respect each other. Ryan is the reason why Brody earned all As and one B for his first-semester report card in 6th grade.

<div>At 30 years old, "Mr. Ryan" is a beloved member of the Albert M. Greenfield community and has been for quite some time. I'm hopeful that during this holiday giving season we can all come together to help Ryan and his family. His current position doesn't exactly afford things like a new or even used car in good condition. That's why I'm asking all of my friends and family to help this very deserving, amazing person who has had a very challenging year.

Taxes, insurance, warenty costs for Ryan's new car

We are extremely saddened to learn that Erin Tokley  (47) a veteran officer and baptist minister, died on Wednesday, 3/3/21, after a battle with coronavirus.  This tragedy has greatly devastated his wife and beloved school teacher, Octavia Tokley, his three young children and his community.<br /><br />According to a <a href="https://6abc.com/philadelphia-police-officer-death-erin-tokley-covid-coronavirus/10386893/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent article by ABC6</a> , ""There are so many lives he touched. There are so many people he brought to Jesus," said his widow Octavia, hours after he passed away.<br /><br />Erin worked in the 12th District. He was also a minister at Calvary Baptist Church in West Philadelphia and a mentor to many.<br /><br />Officer Erin Tokley went to the hospital on February 11 after contracting the virus. When Erin went to the hospital, he promised his wife he'd come back home.<br /><br />"'I'm gonna stay in here a couple of days and then I'll be home for your birthday,'" recalled his wife. "I said, 'You better be.'"<br /> <br />But like so many other innocent souls stricken with the dreaded disease, he never made it.<br /><br />"His final message to me was, 'I'm gonna keep fighting until I come home.' And I just didn't realize it was gonna be his heavenly home," said Octavia.<br /><br />Wednesday would have marked Erin's 24th anniversary with the police department."<br /><br />In response to numerous requests from the Greenfield community to support the Tokley family, including one of our beloved teachers, Octavia, we've created this fund.<br /><br />Contributions will be given to Mrs. Tokley, for memorial expenses and family support. At this time, we are respecting the family's privacy  and do not have more specific details on memorial arrangements. We will update here should more information become available.

Erin Tokley Memorial & Family Support

Let me tell you about my friends, Alison and Bob Gordon. They are going through a pretty rough time.<br /><br />This past August, two days before they were supposed to leave for Disney World, Alison ended up in the hospital. Her kidneys were failing. They started emergency dialysis and performed surgery to remove excess fluid from her lung and around her heart. She spent ten days in the hospital and was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. Alison endured five months of going to a dialysis center three nights a week for treatment after dedicating herself to teaching kindergarten all day. She then decided to have surgery to allow her to complete her treatments at home. She now maintains her health by doing her own dialysis for at least nine hours every night. Alison was ready to start exploring her options for a life-changing kidney transplant, but then Bob had a major setback.<br /><br />Bob has had a history of Stage 4 melanoma for the past four years. When first diagnosed, he decided to take part in a clinical trial for a new immunotherapy drug. He went for treatment every other Friday for two years straight while still going to work every day. He has been off treatment for two years now, and his scans were looking good. Then Bob started having headaches. A few weeks ago, an MRI showed that his melanoma had returned, this time as a three-inch brain tumor. He was admitted to the hospital that day and had emergency surgery to remove the tumor the next day. Bob spent two terrifying days in the ICU, and was discharged five days after surgery. He is now home recovering, but still faces radiation and possibly more immunotherapy treatment.<br /><br />Thankfully, their actual medical expenses are manageable through their insurance; however, Bob is out of work indefinitely, and faces many more medical appointments, tests and procedures for the foreseeable future. This will have a major impact on their daily living expenses and overall finances. Alison and Bob are usually very private people, but they realize that now is the time to reach out for help. They’re exhausted. Let’s help them make it through this rough time. The funds that are raised will help them cover rent and utilities over the next twelve months, and, if there are any funds remaining after they fulfill their responsibilities, we can help them get back to Disney World – their happy place!
