After seeing a veterinary specialist, Chilli has been diagnosed with a high Grade 3 / low Grade 4 IVDD. This means that surgery is now his best and only real chance of walking again. We are already over 48 hours into this, and we have been told clearly that every single hour that passes without surgery reduces his chances of recovery. Time is not on our side and we are terrified of what could happen if we don’t act fast enough. We managed to get Chilli’s MRI done thanks to the incredible kindness of our family and friends who stepped in to help us in an emergency. We are so beyond grateful for that support, but those funds now need to be paid back — and we simply do not have the means to cover both that and the cost of this urgent surgery. MRI bill alone: Right now, we have nothing left to give but hope. Chilli is not just a dog — he is our baby, our best friend, part of our family. Seeing him unable to walk and in this condition is absolutely devastating, and knowing there is a chance to save him but not being able to afford it is the most helpless feeling in the world.
