<div>"Hey y’all I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve chimed in. I’m currently in Shadyside Hospital-my mother-in-law dialed 911 due to my vitals. Once that call was put through some of my local supporters showed up before the EMT and boy did it help tremendously I came straight to UPMC Shadyside that day, August 16, 2025, it was my first day of a different chemo and my body clearly rejected it. I have had countless amount of scans and x-rays blood test, you name it. It has all been done. I have been on palliative care for several weeks and had found comfort, but it stopped. My cancer has made its way to my brain and the pain I Was experiencing was more than I have ever felt. I decided to go on hospice. Please do not let this scare any of you hospice isn’t screaming-She’s gonna die!  It means more thorough comfort.

<div>Johnna you are incredibly brave. For those that truly know my story you know I've powered through some wild storms. I amaze myself. Often I wonder how much more can I take? Well I can handle lots. I love a challenge, I do. I'm facing a huge challenge and I'm doing incredible. I've been told by my team of medicals! Yesterday I had Labs. All I can say is it pays to be happy, it's worth being humble, and I'm worth fighting for. Considering what I'm going through...it's hard. It's a fight. And I'm fighting for me. I love life. I love everything around me.

<div>Good morning. Yesterday I met the man who did my biopsy. He's amazing. Even though he had to tell me some things no body wants to hear. But I listened. I leftvthe office scared for the first time since my diagnosis of sclc and bone cancer.

<div>It's inoperable. However, I'm remaining extremely hopeful. I have so many people supporting me, praying, and helping me on my journey.
</div>
<div>I will continue to respect my doctors, team and most of all pay attention to myself closer than ever. I'm not combative against medical treatment and the gazillion of rules I'm given. Yesterday was one month ciggy free!!! 30 days!!! I really underestimated my own willpower.
</div>
<div>I'm told to continue my attitude and keep every appointment i have! And trust me they keep me busy!
</div>
<div>This is a journey we are all on together. I know I'm not alone.
</div>
<div>I'll continue on with #1#2 chemotherapy and fight harder than I ever have. And once upon a time I was a scarper, iykyk. Lol.

<div>We all have an expiration date. We just don't know. I'm not living in fear. I'm living to thrive.

<div>Only thing that blows is that I have to protect myself from so much during this. I miss hugging, I miss being in my community lending a hand, working, even playing rough with my dogs. I just gotta be smart. And I ask you all to start thinking of yourselves too.

<div>Let today be a great treatment day. As yesterday my body had a terrible reaction to my bone chemo meds. They acted at a blink!!! It was reversed and we started chemo #2

<div>I'll receive my normal premeds with extra prevention meds. I believe it will work!!! Then I meet with radiology today after treatment. I'll tell you more about med #1 details later.

<div>She had her Petscan on Monday and the copay was LARGE and as reported before she has Small Cell Carsonoma in her lung and they found a spot on her hip. She had her port put in and Chemo treatments begin this Tuesday, and another Wednesday and another Thursday. Her spirits are high, she knows she is loved so very much and she appreciates the Love and support, the calls, the texts and messages from everyone! Please keep praying, sending those positive vibes and rendering light to Johnna- She's ready to get things started and get her treatments underway

<div>Johnna Pugner Queer as most of you know was diagnosed with a Rare and Agressive cancer called Small Cell Carsonoma. She is moving quickly with treatments and Co-pays and nutritional needs, along with everyday living with a higher cost. She can not work due to this cancer.

<div>She has been excepted to a few speciality care places, but of coarse processes will take a little time. When this happens she will have to leave the state and will have to pay for a place to stay while she gets the speciality care she so needs.

<div>In June of 2024, my friend Kelly's husband Todd had routine gallbladder removal surgery. After the surgery, he began to have trouble with eating and keeping food down. Upon further investigation with an endoscopy, their lives got turned upside down. The physician had discovered a large tumor in the esophageal junction of his stomach. The tumor was sent for biopsy, which came back malignant for Adenocarcinoma. Over the last few months, they have undergone countless appointments, testing, and procedures in order to determine the extent of his cancer. At their most recent appointment, they found out that the cancer had reached stage 4 metastasis, and that he would not be a candidate for the original clinical trial that he was signed up for. They plan to go forward with treatment to attack the cancer aggressively, but they are dealing with the financial ramifications.

<div>Together they parent four children, and their oldest recently graduated high school and began his journey at college in August. Todd is unable to work due to his conditions, and Kelly is working when she can, but with the number of appointments that they will have to attend starting chemotherapy in the next couple days they need some assistance. The medical bills have grown to be overwhelming even with medical insurance, and they are struggling to afford their normal housing and utilities. With three kids still living at home, they will need some extra support through this process. Please feel free to donate anything you can spare--any amount helps!
