<div>Over the past 18 months I have been hospitalized 4 times for a condition that I just had a procedure done in November to correct. The condition almost took my life in July of 2023, but thanks to the quick action of Mary Cygan, David and Diana. I was able to get to Hoag Hospital in Newport in enough time for their amazing staff to bring me back.

<div>The procedure I had done in November, along with the medication I am currently on, my doctors feel that I can continue the fulfilling lifestyle that brings purpose to my life. 
</div>
<div>Through the ongoing challenges I have faced; Doctor appointments, medications, tests, hospitalizations, procedures and surgery. I have unfortunately missed opportunities for work and have found myself in debt. It is hard for me to reach out and ask for assistance since I pride myself on assisting others. But due to the circumstances I am faced with, I need to put my pride aside and ask my community for support.

<div>I know times are tough for everyone. So I think with a broad support from everyone that I know just pitching in a little will add up to all I need to get myself back to a secure place.

Keeping Keith On His Feet

Support Paul Saluzzi's Son Joseph's Education

Hi Everyone,<br />My Name is Ev and I am a 16-month-old German Shepherd.  I just went to live with my foster family given to me by the Southwest Florida German Shepherd rescue.  My former family had to surrender me when my Mom Developed complications caused by her battle with ovarian cancer.  My Dad has to take care of her, so he can't care for me the way I need and he wants to.  I was hit by a car 6 weeks ago and had my hip was dislocated and my other leg was seriously broken.  The leg did not heal right and now I need another operation to fix it with a plate and screws.  The Rescue needs to raise money for my new operation which will take place Thursday 7/11/2019 in Ft Myers.  The cost of that surgery has risen from the original estimate so we have set our new goal at $4200. New Wheelchair for Tre @ SFMHS!

I am the proud parent of one of the 14 girls who won the Florida President’s Cup Soccer Finals the weekend of April 11th and now the Fort Myers Knights are headed to Lafayette Louisiana for the Region III Finals June 5th thru the 7th.  When we win that we head to the Nationals in Overland Park, Kansas July 9th thru the 12th.<br><br> <br><br>These girls have worked so hard to be in the position they are in and have learned so much, not just about soccer but about teamwork and how being unselfish leads to victory.  What we need now are the funds to help them continue their trek.  We understand and accept the financial responsibilities we have as parents but there is so much involved in getting a team of 14 to 16 girls to a tournament over 800 miles away.  The money we are able to raise will go to JUST the girls for travel, room and board, as parents and family members we are on our own.  <br><br> <br><br>We appreciate any and all donations no matter how small…the team is part of a non-profit organization and we can provide the 501 (c)(3) information for your records.  Thank you for considering the Knights!<br><br>

To try and capture Melissa, her family and her story in a paragraph would be impossible.  At this point all of the above have touched more people near and far than even she is capable of imagining until now.  Because now she sees all.  She knows all and is smiling down on every single person that she touched while she was on this earth.  I've said this over the past few days quite a bit and I will say it again: She did such an incredible job in graciously and generously sharing her true self with anyone she encountered that I find comfort in knowing she has left a little piece of herself with anyone that knew her, had met her once or had simply followed her sweet, soul bearing story.  In talking with Dave today we were talking about how Melissa didn't have a certain kind of person or friend.   She truly loved every single person for who they are.  She found the good in everyone she knew in this world. She was the good in this world and for this, myself and many, countless, people are very lucky and thankful to have known and get to keep that piece of her.  <br /><br />And to all of us lucky and thankful people...let's help her family recover a little bit or at least feel some relief from the battle they've fought over the last 2 years.  Her wonderful husband has been by her side every single step of the way without working, there are unending medical bills and very importantly 2 college educations to finish paying for.  Both of which Melissa started and kept up with until the very end.  These were very important to her and should be.  Any amount at all you would be generously willing to donate would be a step closer to easing the stress that a situation like this causes.  Thank you so much and BE THE GOOD.
