Quelqu'un l'a un jour qualifiée de « guerrière silencieuse » : elle est toujours prête à accomplir une tâche ou à relever un défi pour aider ceux qui en ont besoin, mettant de côté ses propres besoins, ne cédant jamais à la pression et n'attendant rien en retour.

<div>C'est maintenant à notre tour de l'aider, elle et ses enfants. Après plusieurs jours de réflexion, elle a donné son accord pour le lancement de cette initiative.

<div>Même si cette collecte de fonds ne peut pas effacer leur douleur, elle peut aider Amy à retrouver une certaine stabilité dans leur vie, afin qu'elle puisse consacrer toute son énergie à prendre soin de ses enfants, et bien sûr d'elle-même (un aspect qu'elle a toujours eu tendance à reléguer au second plan, mais qui est désormais devenu absolument essentiel).

<div>L'objectif de cette collecte de fonds est de créer une réserve financière pendant qu'Amy règle la succession de Marc. D'après ce qu'elle a compris jusqu'à présent, cela risque d'être un long processus, car il faut attendre certains documents administratifs (la grève postale n’aidant vraiment pas) et faire face à la réalité bureaucratique canadienne qui gèle les comptes conjoints et qui impose de long délais.

<div>L'argent récolté grâce à cette initiative permettra, espérons-le, à Amy de ne pas avoir à déraciner ses enfants de leur maison en location ou de leurs écoles et activités à court terme et, idéalement, au moins jusqu’à la fin de l'année scolaire en cours. Les fonds couvriront les dépenses essentielles telles que le loyer, les frais scolaires, les activités des enfants et les factures qui commenceront à s'accumuler.

<div>Beaucoup d'entre vous ont contacté Amy pour lui demander comment vous pouviez aider ou rendre hommage à Marc. Marc et Amy ont toujours cru fermement que nous devions tous nous mobiliser pour le bien commun, que ce soit pour des œuvres caritatives, des fondations ou la recherche médicale, afin de créer un monde meilleur pour tous mais cette fois-ci, il semble plus approprié que, pour rendre véritablement hommage à Marc, nous fassions tout notre possible pour aider sa famille, qu'il aimait tant et dont il était si fier.

<div>On September 7, Marc Provencher passed away suddenly having suffered a massive heart attack (at only 57 years old), leaving his wife Amy Brogan and their three children devastated - as well as countless family members, friends, and colleagues around the world in a state of disbelief.
</div>

</div>
<div>Marc was a person that could light up the room with the sparkle in his eyes, the hugeness of his smile, his laugh, his spirit and yes, his unforgettable hugs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Amy is one of the strongest people we know. Someone once referred to her as a “Silent Warrior” – always willingly taking on a task or a challenge to help those in need – pushing her own needs aside, never bowing under the pressure or expecting anything in return.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, it’s our turn to help her and their gang - and after much thought and consideration, she has allowed the launch of this initiative.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While we can’t take away their pain with this fundraiser, we can help Amy have some stability in their world as she focuses her energy on taking care of their children – and yes, of herself (an aspect that she has always tended to put at the bottom of her list, but has now become absolutely essential).
</div>

</div>
<div>The goal of this fundraiser is to create a financial cushion while Amy sorts out Marc’s affairs and succession. Based on what she has learned so far, this is likely to be a lengthy process — with delays in obtaining the necessary paperwork (the postal strike certainly doesn’t help) and the reality of Canadian bureaucracy, which freezes joint accounts and imposes long waiting periods.

<div>The money raised through this initiative will, hopefully, allow Amy to avoid having to uproot her children from their rental home or from their schools and activities in the short term and, ideally, at least through the end of the current school year. The funds will cover essential expenses such as rent, school fees, children’s activities, and the bills that will inevitably begin to pile up.

<div>Many of you have reached out to Amy to ask how you can help or how you can honour Marc. While Marc and Amy absolutely believe in all of us pitching in, for the greater good, in terms of charities and foundations, or for medical research, in order to make this a better world for all – it seems only fitting, that to truly honour Marc, we should do all that we can to help his family that he so loved and was so very proud of.

<p>There are times in life when you have to pass along messages that are very difficult, and 2020 has been full of these! Our dear Sacha Mikhailov from our Russian Bar team has experienced a true hardship and is mourning the sudden loss of his eldest daughter, <strong>Alisa Mikhailova.  </strong>The family laid their 5 year old daughter to eternal rest on Monday, 24-Aug-2020. 
</p>

<p>No one should ever have the pain of losing a child! On top of the heightened tension and struggle happening around the globe, to lose a little girl is a difficult moment, one that cannot be imagined by those not living the struggle. I don’t even begin to imagine the pain and heartache! My condolences and heartfelt sorrow to a fellow colleague who is experiencing inconsolable grief! May the lord give strength and courage through such an unimaginable time! Prayers and love!
</p>

<p>Although no amount of words, tears, or actions can ever bring the warm smile of Alisa back, a generous contribution of any amount can help the family through difficult times, and allow for assistance with final arrangements as well as counseling therapy for her siblings, and father and mother that survive her!<br /><br />Cirque has and always is committed to being strong for our brother’s and sisters when they need it most! <br /><br />

Honoring the Legacy of Alisa Mikhailova

Hello Friends,<br /><br />Many of you personally know Ashlee Cramer, as she has touched so many lives with her teaching for years in Miami. For those of you who don’t personally know her, well she is probably one of the strongest, most positive, energetic, happy souls out there, and we know you would love her like we do. Ashlee is quite a private person, but finally has given us permission to share her current family struggle as we know that people will want to help her during this difficult time.<br /><br />Last week, Ashlee’s 19 year old son Michael was diagnosed with a form of T Cell Lymphoma called Hepatosplenic Lymphoma. He immediately started chemotherapy treatment at Miami Children’s hospital and they are staying positive and strong. They already know that he is in need of a Bone Marrow Transplant. This could take place as early as late September, but right now it’s a waiting game. He first needs to undergo aggressive treatment to prepare his body for that procedure. The BMT itself is a very intense long process but has great success rates and is what Michael needs.<br /><br />For those of you who don’t know, Ashlee is a single mom of 3, as her husband passed away from a similar form of cancer a little over 4 years ago. She is also self employed, so basically if she doesn’t teach/work, she has no income coming in, and as you can imagine her business was already affected due to Covid-19.<br /><br />We want to raise these funds for her so that she doesn’t concern herself with having to make a choice whether to go teach a class or stay by her son’s side during the tough days ahead. We already know that for a minimum of 5 weeks during the BMT she will not be able to work at all as she will be his caregiver during the process. At this stage she also has no idea what his insurance will cover, but it’s pretty clear there will also be additional medical bills. The hitch had not fully set onto the ball, in a moment of trying to lock the receiver the trailer fell crushing three finger between the trailer hitch and the flat bed. In moments friends had lifted the trailer, I saw bone and twisted fingers laying over and finger nails pointing the wrong direction.&nbsp;<br><br>I always considered myself good at asking for help, yet this goes beyond my level of comfort in doing so, I know I must embrace the fact I cannot do this alone. As the medical bills build to levels of student loans I am thankful hospitals are generous in payment plans.&nbsp;<br><br>Unfortunately, due to the severity of the trauma ment partial ampuation surgery of my fingers, was high risk at best anld ultimately not possible to save the fingers. &nbsp;The solution was partial amputation of the index, middle and ring finger on my dominate right hand.&nbsp;Throughout my ongoing recovery, I realize a positive attitude and hard work will get you far, I also realize it will not bring them back and certain things are now not going to be possible without assistance, such as a prosthetic. Receiving prosthetics is a little different from the hospitals and a paid in full is required to receive them.<br><br>Ironically, the quality of life (mobility and versitality) with a prosthesis is vastly superior to the alternative, and should enable me to essentially return to my pre-accident status and capabilities. In some ways, it may even be superior. Currently researching an amazing options:&nbsp;<a href="http://www.x-finger.com/"><a href="http://www.x-finger.com/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.x-finger.com/</a></a>&nbsp;made with steel, excellent durability for continued work as a farrier.&nbsp;The Xfingers seem to be the most viable for my life style with horses and outdoor lover of life.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/7926293_1451601916.643_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%"><br><br><br><br>However, the accident itself rendered me completely unable to work for several months, in addition to incurring several thousand dollars of medical bills, which is compounded by my new need to acquire specialty prostheses in order to return to the activities that characterize my love of life and work with horses. <br><br>Additionally, insurance will not cover finger prosthetics for me, I will need to acquire two sets of specialialty fingers for my farrier work and life interest - most riding, two hands seem required for the endurance Arabians I adore so much and feed my heart and soul.&nbsp;<br><br>These prosthetics are extremely expensive $7000-$20,000 (excluding the medical doctors required for fitting and sizing) &nbsp;so I will be unable to return to my life without the assistance of friends and family.<br><br>You all have been so amazing in supporting me through this life-changing experience - both my life-long friends and family, as well as complete strangers. The support I've received, from everyone, has been nothing short of a miracle. It still brings me to tears. I would be honored if you can help me acquire the means to return to the life that instills in me the joy of living. Even if you are unable to donate anything yourself, I would be honored for you to pass on my story to others.
