<div>Clinton McCurbin was only 23 when his life was cut short in 1987 during a tragic incident in police custody at a Wolverhampton store. For nearly four decades, his name has been missing from the public memory. That changes now.

<div>We're launching the <strong>Clinton McCurbin Memorial Campaign</strong> to honour his life, call for truth, and bring healing to a community still seeking justice.

<div><strong>We are seeking to raise £20,500 to create a lasting legacy for Clinton</strong>—one that recognises his story as part of Black British history.

<li>Costs associated with planning permissions, plaque design, production, and installation
</li>
<li>A public unveiling event and remembrance gathering in February 2027

<li>Education, arts, and community programming tied to Clinton’s story and the issue of deaths in custody
</li>

<div>A digital storytelling archive is also in development to collect and share oral histories, documents, and creative responses to Clinton’s story — a living memorial to lives lost in state custody.
