<div>‘Speak No Name’ is a dark fantasy film depicting the cautionary tale of Jotun, a man who once travelled into the forest and now must escape the enchanted clutches of the forest keeper. When he comes across a young woman stuck in the woods, he must decide if he will use her to escape his own entrapment or guide her out of the woods, forfeiting his soul to the forest.

<div>We are a group of student filmmakers from the University of the West of England, passionate about narrative-based short-form films. Now in our Final Year, this project is our long-awaited Graduation Film. This project was conceptualised and written by our lovely Director, Sam Schöttner, a Fantasy Nerd at heart who has been itching to break the stigma of fantasy films being too 'difficult' for us Student Filmmakers. We are all rearing to sink our teeth into this creatively ambitious and visually stunning Folk Fantasy Story, which highlights societal themes and current topics while packaged in a mesmerising Fantasy setting.

<div><br />Being huge nerds we have always found immense joy in discovering the fantastical worlds that fairy tales and folk stories transport us to.<br /><br />Folk and fairy tales are some of the most important stories we share. Tales of good and evil teach us all some of the principle morals of life.<br />Whether you are young or old we all share the same connection to the stories.<br /><br />This film is a metaphorical tale of the choices we are faced with in our lives. Deciding whether to sacrifice relationships with those around us for personal gain is something modern society forces upon us, as personal growth is becoming the motivator of all. Meanwhile our own identities are being constantly questioned and weighed against societal norms and trends.<br /><br />Knowing who we are is so important today. Sometimes we need to defend our Identity and Name to allow us the time to understand it ourselves. <br /><br /><strong>PRACTICALITIES<br /></strong><br />This film has many exciting opportunities to create a stunning visual and sonic style, including a depth of Production Design elements which will need to designed for the film.<br /><br />We intend to build a production design team which can split their time between the production design elements within the forest, which will be taken onto location, and the set build we intend to shoot in our studio. The concept has a perfect opportunity to design and build Jotun’s camp in the studio. This camp will then be stitched with the exterior forest locations we intend to shoot in.<br /><br />We aim to keep the entire production within a 60 mile radius as this will give us access to locations including the Mendips, Brecon Beacons, East Devon and Exmoor National Park.<strong><br /></strong>

He asked me to say a huge thanks to everyone for getting him home.<br /><br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />Joe Quarcoo Morrissey has been in a terrible accident in Cambodia leaving him in a coma in intensive care with escalating medical costs. Please help us to help his family.<br /><br />For those of you who don't know Joe, he is 24 years old, from York and has recently had a new baby with partner Emilie. Their beautiful baby Saul is nearly a year old. The three of them are living in Cambodia where they run a hostel. <br /><br />Joe is an absolutely great guy. He’s really happy go lucky, super kind and thoughtful. He is as handsome as hell and a great footballer and athlete. He is a great friend and a loving father. He brought his baby to the UK at Christmas and it was amazing to see how proud he is of his little boy.<br /><br />So, it was unbelievably shocking for everyone to hear that just a few weeks later Joe was involved in a serious accident in Cambodia. He is in a coma in intensive care and has been there since the first week in February. His Mum and Dad and sister are, of course, doing all they can. His Mum is with him now but all the time the costs of Joe’s care are mounting up. <br /><br />Together with all his friends, we are trying to help Joe’s family at this awful time. We realise that raising money is only one thing we can do but we would like to help reduce the stress on his family.<br /><br />The costs of his care will be high, it is already costing £3,000 a week. This is why we are aiming for £50,000 so all donations, however small are really helpful. Please donate if you can.<br /><br /><br />*All donations will go towards Joe's care and will be handled by Kevin Morrissey, Joe's farther.

Dough for Joe

Oscar had just turned 4, when he was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the petrous bone (in the middle ear). Luckily doctors think they have caught it early. His family are taking him to America in October to have proton beam therapy for 2 months which will hopefully get rid of it completely. Obviously this is going to be a huge financial burden on them, especially as they have a 10 week old baby girl too. Please if anyone can give even just a little bit will take the strain off them a little, the treatment itself is funded by the NHS but obviously spending time away from home is going to be expensive. All money raised will go straight to them for there time in America paying for transport, food etc.

Dear Friends,<br><br>Many of you will know that I had a catastrophic accident last November when I fell from a ladder whilst at work. The fall broke my back, and since my accident I have been paralysed from the chest down.<br> <br>From research I have done on the net it looks possible that I may regain function in my legs by using an FES bike. <br>FES stands for functional electronic stimulation. <br>The bike uses sophisticated technology to stimulate the muscles in my legs so that they fire in sequence to make my legs cycle... <br><br><b>But the bike costs £15,000!! </b><br><br>So, I'm inviting you to support me in this next phase of my rehab to help me to get my leg muscles working again.
