My name is Osvaldo Perez, and my mother and little sister participated in the 58th annual Holiday Parade in Waukesha on Sunday. While they were walking the parade, an SUV decided to speed down the parade route injuring many people including my little sister Camila Perez, and my mother, Romelia Perez.

My sister, Camila, was immediately rushed to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and is being treated for a fractured left leg and a head injury. She went into surgery last night and is currently in the ICU recovering. The doctors are closely monitoring her fractures and head injuries, but my sister is currently stable.

My mom, Romelia, was immediately rushed to Aurora Medical Center. She needed emergency surgery upon arrival to the hospital due to blunt force trama that caused internal bleeding in one of her organs. My mom is also being treated for multiple bone injuries including: pelvic fractures, lower spine fractures, wrist fractures and leg fractures. Just last night my mom had 3 surgeries and is currently on a breathing tube as she has many more to come.

My family and I are extremely shaken up from this horrific event. This is something so unexpected that my family was not financially prepared for. Please help my family overcome this tragedy by sharing this story and keeping us in your prayers. Waukesha Parade Tragedy- Perez Diaz Family

Dawn and myself have gotten Covid in the last 2 weeks. Dawn has not recovered and is now on a ventilator, or life support as it is described. We just got this news as of the day of this writing. The doctor told me if she does not have the ventilator she will pass. With the ventilator, health factors and age, she has about a 50/50 chance. I have no idea what costs will be associated with her care, how long she will be out of work with ventilator success, etc. We have never asked for money before so this is not comfortable territory for us. Please accept my apologies if this is not a cool way of doing things. We don't know how bills will get paid at this point and I am kind of panicking. Thank you to all who have reached out and please keep praying.

Please help Dawn beat Covid

Hi Friends,

Happy New Year. I hope this finds you well.

I am in desperate need of financial help. It goes without saying that this is extremely difficult and humbling for me to reach out to ask for assistance. :-(

I have over $10,000 in medical bills with more forthcoming. I’m having difficulty landing a job, and have been out of work for over a year. Unemployment has run out. I drained my IRA. I am out of resources, and it's scary. I don’t have money to pay for next month’s rent or utilities. And I have nowhere to go.

I sincerely NEED your help if you are in a position to provide a donation. No amount is too small. I appreciate anything you are willing and able to do. And I promise to pay it forward when I can.

If you are unable to donate, perhaps you could assist me in finding a job. I am grateful for anyone and any type of help.

Thank you, and stay healthy!

Sending hugs,
Laurie

Tragic loss for our dear friends.. Dan and Tina Milis... they lost 2 of their children in a head on collision while vacationing in Florida. They were hit head on by someone fleeing from the police.
There were 4 in the vehicle, while their younger son Drake and their cousin Kyley were transported to different hospitals.
Their daughter Danycka (18) and son Domynick (21) were each killed instantly.
Their youngest son is still hospitalized with severe injuries as well as Kyley.
We are asking for prayers to help with having to deal with this kind of devastating loss.
Also, we are asking for any kind of donations to help with transporting their children back to Wisconsin and funeral costs.
Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.

Dan & Tina Milis need help with their tragic loss

As you know, if you know myself or David himself, David contracted the Wuhan/Covid 19 Virus. Unfortunately he found himself amongst those who were in the percentage who's life was actually at risk with this illness and was hospitalized to treat him for this virus. On one of the first days of his admission, I visited my friend, being a Veteran, an ER nurse, and my own health scares, I have seen some things, I was actually scared for my friend and his family. Fortunately, almost 10 days later he left the hospital. He continues to need oxygen at times, but believes he will return to work, as I do as well. In the meantime, he would never share this with anyone, we have to use our Paid Time Off for illness as well as personal time. Being an involved single father, you can imagine his PTO is limited. The medical bills, the time off from work, and the stress of covering these costs for a man who embodies a Frontline Healthcare Worker, should not have to be burdened with anything other than getting back to his family and full health. Please consider helping out as I am.

Covid Nursing Hero

On July 31, my family received the call you never want to get. My Mom was driving lunch to an employee of her cleaning service when a teenager in a large truck ran a red light and crashed into my Mom’s car. She was airlifted to the hospital with traumatic brain injury, collapsed lungs, ruptured aorta in her heart, ruptured bladder, broken ribs, pelvis, and face fractures. In spite of all that, she is stable, but still unconscious. Although her brain injury is very severe, the doctors have said there’s a chance for long term recovery and I will do whatever it takes to fight for my mom’s life.

My Mom, Maria, has always given everything she has to everyone else. She has fought for me, my brother, and my father. She runs a small cleaning service and her employees rely on her to make a living. She loves singing karaoke, visiting her family in Mexico, and taking her grandchildren to Starbucks. She doesn’t deserve this. She is strong and I know she will make it out of this, but I need help due to significant medical expenses on the long road ahead.

To make matters worse, the teenager who struck her had an expired insurance policy. Over the coming months and possibly years, she will need care, surgeries, rehabilitation, medicine, etc. My family needs help to take care of her and so I’m reaching out and asking for help. I need to do everything I can for my Mom, because that is what she would do for us.

She has been in ICU for 17 days now being cared for by wonderful doctors and nurses. I’m so grateful to these incredible human beings who dedicated their life to helping people like my Mom. I am indebted to them. Because of Covid, we had to wait 15 days to see her in person, only being able to see her most days through Zoom calls (thanks goodness for technology), my family has been able to talk to her, pray with her, and sing to her in hopes that she can hear our voices.

Thank you all for your love and support, your prayers and your messages. Please keep sending my Mom strength as she will need it on this long road to getting her back.

I am a single 49 year old lady. Just bought my first home 4 years ago.
Was furloughed April 2nd, applied for UI April 6th and I have heard NOTHING from DWD in ten weeks!
I'm not understanding why I and others like myself don't seem to matter. Why doesn't my state care about me. What are they going to do when I loose everything? How am I supposed to keep calling, filing claims when my phone gets shut off? My internet is a hot spot on my phone. WE energies is coming close to shutting off my power.
I'm slowly about to lose everything I have worked for.
Am I really supposed to walk away from my house i made into my home, my dogs and cat???
After I pay my mortgage and something towards my phone, I'll be down to approximately two hundred dollars, that's all I'll have to my name.
In no way is this any fault of my own.
What i need is an adjudicator. Why hasn't anyone reached out to me? The government has my information.
I cant count the number of times trying to reach UI, the cue is always full. They stop taking calls at 4:30pm only Monday through Friday.
Thank you for reading my story.
Jennifer

10 weeks of nothing.

As many of you know, my friend and coworker, John Wadzinski, was hit by a car while riding his bicycle home from work on August 1st, 2016. He sustained a broken ankle and trauma to his head. Incidentally, it was discovered that John had a large brain tumor as well. He has been off of work since the accident. He had surgery to remove the tumor on September 16th, and has since been in the hospital. John is a single father, and a great nurse, and he's got a tough road ahead of him with healing and getting back on his feet. He's a strong man, but with all of the missed work and growing medical bills, I'm sure he could still use a little help (though he'd never ask). Like myself, I know there are many of us who'd like to be there for John right now, but don't really know how. I thought this might be a way for us to do something nice for him. A way to help in his time of need.
