<div>This go fund me account is for the family of Willie &amp; Tiffany Burton. This family was just doing life, like the rest of us, jobs, kids, family stuff, all the things most of us do. This is a tight nit family of 6. Dad, mom and 4 beautiful children. They recently got news none of us would ever wanna get, their 2 youngest children, Liam, 8 years old and Jace, 1 year old have Hunters Syndrome. Mucopolysaccharidosis type 2. It’s an inherited disorder, primarily affects males with a prevalence of 1 in 100,000 to 170,000 births and can range in severity. No cure is available. The most severe cases can be life threatening, with life expectancy being 10-20 years. People with mild cases typically live longer into adulthood.

<div>Can you imagine trying to wrap your head around this kind of news about not just one of your precious kids, but 2 of them? I can’t.

<div>So, they got the news, now they have to make trips every week to Lexington for scans, tests, treatments, etc. They both have already had the procedures of getting the ports put in. These trips means work missed for mom n dad. How many of us could keep that up every single week, both adults missing work, spending money on gas, food because they are there all day. Mentally and financially draining.

<div>Dad, Willie is a grandson of the late Bill Burton from Burtons drive in. And his widow, Barb Burton from Smokey. And he’s the son of Jeff Burton. And the son of Margaret Burton. Mom, Tiffany is the daughter of  Martha Lowe. She is the grand daughter of Carmel and Betty Lowe. We all remember Carmel Lowe. He drove a bus for years. We all know these names. They’ve been a big part of our little town since as far back as memory allows.
